100% agree Hunt , Vince, Tyson, Jones, Harmes, T.Mac, Lewis, have generally had a least one awful clanger per game that either costs us scoring a goal or gives the opposition a goal. It's a concern that of all our list there are only 4-5 players I trust with ball in hand. Jetta, Watts, Brayshaw, Salem, Oliver (who only kicks it 2-3 times a game)

I definitely think it mentally impacted his rucking , when you have been doing things a certain way since forever and now are told you will be paid free kicks against for it it has to mess with your head a bit. What a joke 3 rounds out from the end of the H&A season that the umpires crack down on it . The "rule" of the week thing has to stop ruining our game

terrible recruiting by scot clayton who was so overatted when appointed it's not funny. He favored lightly built skillful, nice athletic types . GWS went with strongly built competitive beasts as their no 1 criteria. They revolutionised they way other clubs now recruit . It also helped they had even more handouts than GC from a draft perspective and used all the pre selection , points / zone /academy system perfectly

JKH is also pretty tidy with his disposal , which we are sorely lacking happy for him and billy stretch to come in the offer some skill and dash . Harmes needs a spell, I love his attitude and gut running but so often ruins his hard work with his disposal

We have improved alot and showed at times we can play as well as anyone. The losses to low ranked teams like North , Freo and Hawthorn in particular show that we are not ready to sustain a high level , which I think is mental more than anything. Given our capability and that we have been in the eight with winnable games for the best part of the second 1/2 half of the year if we don't make it I would deem the season a failure Win the last 3 we are in and we should based on our capability , if we cant we dont make it and we don't deserve to

Bumping this thread. Is there any reason why we would not be going hard for Kelly, I think he is as much what we need as lever? If he wants to come home I think we should be throwing an offer to him. He has old school mates in Salem and Hunt at the club, salem in particular is close to him.

As Much as I can't disagree with the drop Trengove reasoning. I think a swap for Maynard is not Trengove has had 2 games playing an unnatural half back role which he did OK against PA and not great along with 15 other mates in Hobart. I would like to see him rotating through the midfield which is his natural position and even swapping in the forward line, anb style. I don't think maynard is going to offer as much as Trengove at senior level just yet.

I too am reluctant to pay top $$ for him. the floating third tall type defenders can be found out really quickly . I don't know enough about lever and don't watch enough adelaide games jut general consensus is he is a future star but Colin Garland was great for 2-3 years playing a similar role

well a long way from a done deal but we would need to give up something to get him. Crows would be after our 1st rounder and a player of starting 22 quality. Is he worth a top 10-20 pick and a player of say an ANB quality (who they might entertain given their lack of midfield depth).

going to be very scrappy. I know this brings North back into the game somewhat but our guys are up for a scrap. I think the difference in top eight vs cellar dwelling teams is the ability to scrap for longer. Given what is on the line for both teams I can see (hope) North running out of fight given they have nothing to play for. I do however given their week under "tanking" microscope think that they will come out hard . We need to match them early and I think as mentioned they should (hopefully)drop off

non MFC games are becoming like basketball to me. I love the NBA but like non MFC games I only closely watch when it's towards the end of a game and it is close.

Between Hamish, that hutchy wannabe sam Mclure and Watson that SEN morning show is just impossible to listen to for more than 3 minutes. It is pretty good when Huddo and Bob murphy are on

Nev Jetta didn't look to bad from footage. Hopefully just needs to ice and to keep off it. He has enough credits not to train for the rest of the week to get himself 100% for the Roos

Can't stand the bloke , absolute stager and a weak pirck. The way every commentator gushes over me sends me over the edge. I concede he a a decent defender and great at leaving his man to intercept, but one on one he is average.

bummer , jeffy has been great at the G this year even in his "off" games he managers to snag 1 or 2 goals. Not sure who can play the role maybe BenKen get s a chance??
