Am actually having a meal replacement drink, into which I have blended in our last banana, while I read demonland. Yummy. The drink not demonland.

You know what it's like, you don't want to, but you just can't help yourself.

In all seriousness though, I am extremely disappointed that I have lost interest in this season. I am still going to all of the games in Victoria, including Geelong on saturday, despite having two horses running at Caulfield. What has ruined my enjoyment is the inconsistent performances of the team, the speculation over you know who, the inability to beat victorian teams other than Richmond and Essendon, pathetic performances at Etihad, players getting injured or ill and pulling out on the day of games, Jurrah not dominating like I had hoped, some players not progressing in their football and others going backwards, speculation about the Coach and fixturing that leaves so much to be desired ( such as 4 games in 23 days and always playing at Geelong), seeing Carlton doing well, etc, etc. In many ways I wish the season would end so I can look forward to 2012. To add some balance, I have enjoyed our wins and the fact that we have blooded new players and that some of our boys have kicked on. I am optimistic for the future with our list of young players but I am getting impatient to see some consistent winning football from my team.

I can answer it even simpler for you, " that thread is full of sh-t" and basically consists of personal attacks on other demonlanders and a player. None of us need to waste our time adding to or being part of it.

Being partial to the odd banana smoothie, I was aware of the hike in prices, as I have been told often by the cafe's that they are not doing them as they are too expensive to buy. Suppose the good thing is that my diet won't suffer as they must be quite fattening.

Funny how it seems to happen to us regularly. Last week Rioli, Sewell and Lewis came back for Hawks and won them the game while we lost Jurrah and you know who. This week Ottens, Ling, Stevie J and maybe Mooney are back for the Cats, not that they wouldn't beat us without them. Stars come back against us and are best on ground and we seem to lose a player or two from the selected lineup on the day.

Lately I have been enjoying Baby I Love Your Way by Big Mountain and dare I say it, Valerie by Amy Winehouse.

I'm getting really [censored]. That other thread has got to 24 pages and here we are languishing on only 6. Start posting people, this is a real challenge. There must be so much more to life than discussing "you know who".

THE AFL will press ahead with plans to set up its own player agent system, despite admitting it will be a conflict of interest. The AFL wants to establish a separate body to act on behalf of young players before they are drafted and can be approached by accredited agents. The move is likely to set the league on a collision course with the current player agents. I am a little embarrassed to raise this here as it originates on the other thread, but I won't post there, though I think it is an interesting point. Robbie F raised the issue that if you know who doesn't sign with GWS this year, then GWS, as they have offered him a contract can't take another uncontracted player this year.He said that if we signed up everyone we wanted to keep while you know who is deciding whether to leave, they couldn't make an offer to anyone else, until the decision was made. If we secure our boys then no one is available to them to grab this year. I don't think that is correct. I don't think they are limited in how many offers they can make, but only in how many they can actually take under this uncontracted player poaching rule. They are limited to getting 1 player but I don't know of any limit on offers that can be made. What Robbie is saying is that if we sign up everyone we want to keep and then you know who stays, we will not lose anyone to them that we want to retain and that the club may be using the next few weeks to do this. Can someone clarify this.
