  1. He will play anyway.
  2. I suppose Schache and JVR will be very interested in the outcome.
  3. If I remember correctly he was pushed from behind which got Viney off.
  4. We agree again, though the Lawyer in me is annoyed.
  5. They need a tag to sell it. Itโ€™s like Uncle Bitterโ€™s wine casks being labelled โ€œagedโ€ or โ€œpremium โ€œ.
  6. It's great when there is nothing happening and we can all just relax.
  7. And there you have it. Exactly. What makes it go from low, past medium, to high? That is all we are asking. Was the bump too hard, fast, high, amount of body on body, without warning or not enough warning, inability to avoid, what type of injury was likely, etc, etc, etc, while ignoring actual facts, like, the victim got straight up, wasnโ€™t attended by doctors or trainers, didnโ€™t go off, didnโ€™t rub any area in pain, didnโ€™t sustain any impact injury, didnโ€™t argue with aggressor, played very well after the incident getting 27 possessions for the game, etc, etc, etc. In other words what factors led to an increased grading by 2 levels to the highest possible, given the above factors. Plainly put, explain the decision, so next time that the same gets less, we will have some idea why.
  8. Well if thatโ€™s what the rule is, I change my view. So if I understand correctly now, itโ€™s one guyโ€™s opinion of what level of danger was in the action. Thatโ€™s a wonderful rule, that will see a lot of consistency in decisions.
  9. Yes it was dumb, but you donโ€™t get weeks for being dumb, you get weeks for actual rule breaches. This is a terrible adjudication of the rules. Itโ€™s simply not high impact.
  10. Rubbish. How can no damage be high impact? What then is concussion/broken jaw, WW3? I would challenge high impact only and take one week. TBH I am sick of us being made examples of without any argument from us. One week was fair. If he caused injury of course he deserved more, but he didnโ€™t and no damage canโ€™t in any way be high impact. How can you have high impact on high contact ( the head ) with absolutely no damage and not even medical attention or a test of any kind. Ridiculous. Too many on here have reacted to the opticals and yes it wasnโ€™t a great look, but it still must be dealt with properly not just made up.
  11. Would you rather get a hard bump with no damage or be knocked out? APPEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To say high impact when absolutely no damage is disgraceful. Sending a message and giving him a week would have been fair imo. I think Kossie would be angry with us if we didnโ€™t back him.
  12. Thatโ€™s fair, you get more for a bad look that doesnโ€™t cause damage, than actual damage. The first point of contact with Smith is the shoulder and then Smithโ€™s head whiplashes back, but without any damage, or even medical attention.
  13. You mean Liam Ryan. I agree with Jaded No More, anything worse than a week and we appeal and show Cripps and Ryan knockouts, which are according to the Tribunal, absolutely fine. Smith jumped straight up and was not attended by trainers and got 27 possies. That is very relevant.
  14. I think thatโ€™s right, he gets a week for the look. Player ok and played well. Cripps sent Ah-Chee into next week, knocking him out and then missing games. Appealed and got off, winning a Brownlow for fairest and best and getting votes in last games. We have changed interpretations so often, from outcome, to intent, to possible outcome etc. With all the concussion talk, it will be a week for possible outcome and the opticals.
  15. How is Pendlebury still allowed to complain to umpires non stop, now he isnโ€™t Captain?
  16. It is a real worry. De Koning went down just slowly walking backwards with no one near him. The surface is very shifty in places and be Sue Chris Scott will tell us all about in his presser. Concerts and sport are not good bedfellows.
  17. Gotta love Pies, as their crowd constantly boo any former player and their players attack any former player, while their players from other clubs are loved.
  18. The medical diagnoses from afar, presumably with no medical training are hilarious. Keep them up.
  19. They weren't head down contests and tbh if we are now not to have contests, the game is over. We can then create touch footy.
  20. Cripps threw the ball 3 times for no whistle. Dropped it at least another 3 times, for no whistle. Donโ€™t let anyone ever tell you that the umpires donโ€™t have favourites. That said, he is a great player.
  21. He also pulled out of a few contests.
  22. I always thought Zac Williams was ordinary and heavily overpaid.
  23. Interesting last 7 rounds, 4 away, 1 home and 2 byes.
  24. The Dogs donโ€™t draw big crowds.
  25. Yes but this is 4 individuals who include our best goal kicker, our tough vice captain, our best back flanker and defensive play starter and our back general. 25% nearly of our best starting 18. But I get the point, adversity brings challenges that if overcome, strengthen the team and improves future depth. Mentally, a win would be a big boost for our confidence too.
