  1. can we kick 10 goals in the game and at least keep our average?
  2. win loose or draw i will give anything to see us play a full 4 qtr game!
  3. 4 more goals to port in 5 mins. Well, after only 3 games we will need to look for a priority pick. the back line is under too much pressure, sill no forward line. All the kids are hanging their heads!
  4. Dunn goal 5.5 to port 13.10 this is like someone scratching a black board
  5. You have to admire the work JS and the team has done, nearly 28,000 as of today, with our planned target of 30,000, we may hit 32,0000+ by the time memberships close. Not bad for a team that everyone tiped as wooden spooners. What would our numbers be like if we were premiership favourites?!!!!!
  6. Whilst I love the passion every one has, remember we need a foward line that can kick more than 10 goals! Here is last years highest scores we kicked by each team. And last year I thought, at the start of the year our forward line looked ok. I just wonder at this point in time who is going to kick a bag? Adelaide 11 8 74 Brisbane 14 9 93 Carlton 9 14 68 Collingwood 13 17 95 Essendon 17 6 108 Fremantle 17 17 119 Geelong 12 10 82 Hawthorn 12 6 78 North Melbourne 11 13 79 Port Adelaide 7 9 51 Richmond 14 10 94 St Kilda 7 8 50 10 Sydney 11 8 74 West Coast 11 13 79 Western Bulldogs 9 12 66
  7. one snow flake doesnt make a winter.
  8. I agree it wasnt one of Millers best but dont throw the baby out with the bath water just yet. Our foward line in bascally non existant. Miller at his best had Robbo and Neitz firing and he was a leading CHF. He was then getting the 3rd best defender, now he is getting the best. When we have a few more effective targets, Miller will have more influance.
  9. I do agree some what but i realy would have stoped at 5 votes. We had some other good contributers at times and then faded. We scored 1point fron the 22 min mark of the 3rd to the 20 min mark of the last, another quarter fade out like the practice matches. It was mostly skill errors that let us down. Whilst dissapointed in loosing, Nth was a top 4 side for most of last year. we will get better. Just wait till we see Watts as a target in the games and years to come. I was still all in all happy what i saw. Just a thought when was the last round 1 game that didnt have the names of Neitz, White, Yze or Robbo in the line up?
  10. 6. Moloney - starting to look like the form he had at the cats 29 touches & 5 tackles 5. Green -gutsy. always put the body on the line. was placed in the forward line in the last qtr, but it didnt come that way too often. 18 touches 4. Cheney - for a first gameer, he had poise, an a good footy brain. he will be a star of the future if he keeps this up. his first opponent was Wells. 22 touches 7 marks 91% effective 3 -1%ers and the only contested mark for the team! 3. Jones - instead of just making packs, he actually got the ball out and made clearances. 23 touches 78% effective 2. Bruce - 22 touches 77% effective. same old Cam. 1. McDonald 23 touches only 65 % effective. had a chance to kick his first "Captains goal" from 30m on and missed. Honourable mensions the whole back line. there only kids and it was Rivers first game in about 8 months (and Mclean). they will soon be a force to recon with. Now if we onlt had a forwad line that looked the same!
  11. if it was posted after last nights game I would have blamed a tiger supporter diverting attention. Baily is totally safe. Remember what they said about clarkson and then his draft picks came through and won a flag. P.S Tiger Membership cards now come with a dotted line and kiddy scissors so they dont cut their wrists!
  12. Expect the worst hope for the best and we put in a 4qtr effort
  13. Stef very stiff but he will be a long term player, you watch!
  14. i agree, lets dot put the cart before the horse. i was excited this time last year, and look what happened. As Malthose said the ox is slow but the earth is patient..
  15. I hope these guy do make, but it is a very short bench, and does not give us many options if Nth are killing us in the air. At least Dunn and Martain are marking options. All I hope for is a FOUR quater game and we dont go missing for a quarter as usual!
  16. No. for him today, the AFL tomorrow the world
  17. In the Hun at the MFC season launch, our gestapo leader of the Afl said there would always be 10 teams in Vic
  18. Only around 3,500 to make the 30,000. at this rate we will reach this before the Collingwood game. Keep up the great work. Whats your nearest the pin final membership number going to be when membership finishes in June?
  19. I uderstand this so why have a new AFL club. Afl clubs survive on memberships.
  20. On the NRL Footy show they just applauded a total of 100,000 members for the league. What the!! our 4 worst supported AFL clubs together would beat the 16 NRL memberships by more than 20%. So why do we need two more AFL club and especially one in NSW.!!!
  21. He will never make there best 22. Live up now Chis, you may have player in font of 85,000 tonight, but the rest of the year most of your time will be in fron of a few hundred in the VFL
  22. I am not 100% of all facts however alot of 2008 1st, 2nd and 3rd round draft pick will play this round. From the early team listing we have no 4 (Bennel) and 5 (Jetta) as possibles. If these kids cut it, and with Watt, Bleese, Strauss (1,2 & 3) to come and a few seniors (Robbo, Sylvia, Wheelan, Wheatly, Bell, Newton) and the up and comers (Womma, Jurrah, Grimes, Marric) There will be no certs for spots in the team. The pressure to hold you spot will be great, and work out the men from the boys. I think were have a lot to look forward to with some 13 players viaing for a spot when fit. As the add says "It may not happen over night BUT IT WILL HAPPEN" Go Dee's
