You can 'turn off' your Xbox Foxtel anytime you want - there is no lock in contract (Obviously if you pay your $100 for the footy you wouldn't cancel until after the season) but it means you can pay $0 during the off season if you so desire. So, for me, Foxtel on Xbox makes sense if: A-You already own an Xbox B- You may only want access at certain times of the year C- You have a good internet connection with plenty of monthly d/load quota D- IQ ability doesn't matter to you and E- the downgrade in quality (from normal Foxtel) doesn't bother you. A select audience I'll admit. But suits my situation and budget beautifully. In my case the annual saving,when droping down to $19.90 Get Started on the Xbox in the offseaon, as opposed to the $45 Get Started on the normal box (or $55 if you want to record),means a minimum annual saving of around: $115 - even after being offered the first six months for $38.50 (including recording and the Sports) on a normal foxtel 12 month contract. And you have no lock in contract or need to re negoaiate one after the current one expires. Negatives for me ares picture quality and no ability to record. horses for courses I guess.

Hi Rhett, Just wondering if you could confirm whether the new Footy Play channel on the Xbox 360 will also show the weekly shows such as: On the Couch, AFL 360 etc etc? Thanks.

Just as a little aside; The ACT Brumbies (Super 15 team) had a large, unnamed Chinese sponsor lined up for 2012 and beyond. However just before Xmas the whole deal fell through. Could something similar have happened with us? Could it even be related? Probably just a quirky coincidence.

Hi Guys, (well those of you outside Vic and Tas) Seems if you live in a major city you won't get the game until 11:30pm and if you are outside a major city ( e.g Canberra) you'll need to wake up at 4am for your first glimpse on FTA (of course the Mainevent Foxtel Channel will show it at 7:30pm) Apparently Senator Conroy himself is the man to blame! http://www.tvtonight.com.au/2011/06/seven-juggles-afl-and-wimbledon-obligations.html all this after last week's game was live at 7:30pm on 7Mate! So so wrong.. feel free to vent your fury! Or am I wanting too much?

hmmm Seems the url changes when the date changes. Here is the 'link' page: http://www.bbtv.cn/ If you click on ICS on the left menu then the play symbol on the preview it should work... well it is atm anyway. Also, although Chrome translates part of the page..the stream seems to run much better in Firefox

There will be a little drop down box at the top of the page asking you if you want Chrome to translate the page. See the attached pic Then just click 'Translate' Note not all the characters will be translated just the ones the browser can pick up. Hi Guys.. Just top clarify: you can click on that link in any browser (Firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome). But if you want all, or most of the Chinese characters translated into English you can use the Google Chrome browser. This browser will automatically give you the option to translate the content into English. Otherwise just click on the link at 5pm on Sunday and watch the show...(hopefully)
