  1. That (http://www.bbtv.cn/l...05-17/314.shtml) is a stream of the tv channel supposedly showing the match. It is listed in their tv directory as : AFL Tournament I don't think the broadcaster would be allowed to stream it off their official site if it were against any official regulations. I think you will find the content is monitored/censored fairly closely. Social networking is banned as it is harder to censor and control. Anyway hopefully that stream will have the match come Sunday 5pm.
  2. Try This: http://www.bbtv.cn/live/2009-05-17/314.shtml Using it in Google Chrome can help with link names etc as it translates the page for you. Should be on at 5pm (aedst) on Sunday if I am not mistaken. Hopefully it works.

  8. Pretty long interview: -He left for a variety of reasons but mainly due to the fact he felt he need a change -Thinks working with Harvey, Bradley, Ratten, Williams etc will do his game no end of good. -Reckons he was running at 50-60% fitness only this year -They tried to get him to elaborate on the fact that Robbo reckoned players were disgruntled about the tanking etc. He said Robbo might have spoken to a few other blokes, but the players decided last year that they had to stick together and push through otherwise the club would fracture (ironic!) -Said he has heard about the Flash rumours and has no idea what he'll do but knows he really wanted Froggy to come over to the Dees a couple of years ago, so that might have an impact -They really wanted him to say whether or not the tanking issue had a bearing on whether he would stay or go...he just kept the line: there were a variety of reasons and that the club had his full support throughout the year -Said the last 6-8 weeks were hard, playing a tagging role etc -The reason Bails gave him those roles was so he could learn from the likes of Black etc -He only started thinking about leaving a couple of weeks before the end of the season and then it solidified when he had some time off after round 22 -He sat down and spoke to Bails this week as he was away last week when the decision was made -He was not pushed, he went to Harrington and said my mind is made up -Didn't want a complicated drawn out trade process - Melb FC were shocked and disappointed I think that was the main points. But reccomend a listen if and when you can.
  9. ah, yes I posted this in the"Brock has left the building" thread, but I think it is of value enough to have it's own: SEN Brock Interview: Really important listen for MFC members. http://www.sportsentral.com/pro/main/Podcasts.aspx Click on Morning Glory and then 'Brock Mclean Tells..."

  11. Has there ever been a case where a player has won the B+F for a club he no longer plays for?! (I am assuming our B+F is after trade week?)

  19. Seems we 'trumped' them though: http://www.watoday.com.au/sport/naitanui-m...nbz.html?page=2 Woodhouse admitted afterwards the Eagles had been trumped by the Demons – but was happy with the process, and the talent they had committed to. "It was a good draft, there was a fair bit of talent going around so hopefully we were in the mix," Woodhouse said. "We had had a couple of other WA kids in our sights to and got nipped in the bud by Melbourne later in the draft. "They probably did (trump us), we rated Jamie highly, and had he been available we would have picked him there. "But that is life in the draft, you can go close and you don’t know where it will end. "We are certainly happy with Ashley Smith … but it is probably easier to get kids out of your home town these days. "It is interesting that Melbourne did that, perhaps lacking a little bit of funds to relocate kids, but that is what they chose to do and we move on."

    Brad Green

I don't support administrations or boards I support a football team! I want to win and be as successful as possible. "If you say you are loyal to MFC how are you not loyal to the administration backed by the Board???" That is like saying how can you be loyal to your country and hate the president! I can think of plenty of examples! Anyway, I think it would be a mistake not to resign Green after what he has shown over the last 2-3 years and I would find it hard for them to justify. But at the end of the day I have no influential say in the matter.

    Brad Green

I understand the points being raised and the worry that Green will become rubbish after signing a 3 year contract. But again I ask: if Brad Green is currently not worth a 3 year contract...who is? Yes It is my opinion he should Captain...but I am far from the only one. I guess I prefer leadership through action than talk. As you say Rhino this is a new administration. They are yet to prove themselves. You were questioning someones Loyalty before for questioning whether they would become a member or not should Green leave.I personally have loyalty to the MFC Loyalty to this administration needs to be earned!
