  2. Get ready for some “But have you asked the players/coaches/do you know the role they’ve been asked to play....I have!!!!” type responses bman.
  3. From a financial point clubs and the AFL can’t have an outbreak and the season shut down again, I think you might be right Andy.

weren't some of the pics from the US in particular just horrifying! The Lake of the Ozarks and Venice beach blew my mind. I felt itchy and like I had a cough coming on just looking at them.

I don’t like the “hill” between our oval and the “pitch”.... (tremendous work). I just checked the maps on phone thingo and 44mins it tells me..... I know this minute ain’t reality of a few years from now or 3 months ago, saying 30mins is an outright lie (unless you live in Noble Park or Dandenong). Casey is too far for mine.

No it’s not. At best you’re looking at 45mins from Richmond. At its worst it’s well over an hour.

There it is, in black and white ““It certainly will allow for (Essendon and Collingwood to play in Geelong) in the fixture,” AFL fixtures boss Travis Auld said. “Historically, we put constraints in the fixture process so those things can’t occur because the crowds just don’t fit into that venue and too many supporters get locked out.” https://7news.com.au/sport/afl/collingwood-and-essendon-face-prospect-of-tasmanian-away-games-in-2020-afl-season-c-1058024

They are Doc, our area was just given ~$8m for 20ks of bike, running/walking trails between 4 towns.
  14. ✈ ?
  15. Uhm he did talk about the “connection” to forwards so they know the “Melbourne way” they want to play (won the contest and connect to the forwards) but they played the “Melbourne way” they have played for so many years besides 1 under Goodwin.
  16. All clubs are feeling the pinch, North coaching stand downs: ”This comes as The Age has confirmed four coaches: forwards coach Brendan Whitecross, backs coach Jared Rivers, ruck coach Will Minson and academy coach Michael Firrito have been stood down by the club and will receive JobKeeper payments. A source within the club has confirmed veteran coach Gavin Brown will fill in the roles with senior assistant Jade Rawlings. “There was some reshuffling required in the footy department and the coaching department wasn’t the only area that was hit,” Rawlings told SEN’s Sportsday. “We couldn’t not provide them with their physios and doctors and conditioning staff so we really prioritised that area and unfortunately we didn’t get all our staff back.” “We still think we have a good area there in the coaching department. We have some staff we think are enough to provide for our players. “Availability is going to be really key throughout this period. Now we’ve got them back, having our physios, massage, docs and our conditioning staff readily available is going put us in the best position for [a] successful season.”

While not a trade I still think the Stephen Powell leaving for nothing was a massive c ock up at the time. He was playing some really good footy for us at the time, I know he was slow as a wet week and from recollection wanted longer term than MFc was wanting to give but walking for nothing...
  18. I'll get a tattoo of them both!
  19. You got fired on your day off?!?! What da hell is wrong wit you?!
  20. Knowing when to do it and having the senior players to pull you up when “needed” is possibly the difference? Who knows it’s just a sad end to so many MFC players careers and our hard earned during that time.
  21. Maybe the leaders of the club were part of that lifestyle ie the Beamer, Tapp pic in Vegas. Col and his issues off field.
  22. This is the million $ question of nature vs nurture isn't it. We literally lost an entire "generation" of half decent success to absolute failure because of a lack of on field leaders and a footy club in turmoil? Where was the personal responsibility of the players, the internal drive to turn the footy side of things around? It is clearly very grey between both and there is failures of all front for that era, Brock being a great example of that.
  23. From broken to smelling the roses. Awesome, I hope he makes it to the games record for us and hope above all hope gets to lift the premiership cup before he’s done.
