For me it’s definitely starting to feel like that is the way to go, less players, harder running/more fatigue should hopefully open up play. The start of this season has been a hard to watch game and risk mitigation and scoring on the counter zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Pendlebury is better than he’s ever been tonight. Skills of majority of players in the game are better than they’ve ever been. Fitness as well. AFL as a spectacle is terrible at present.

Wouldn’t it be great having Melb centric commentators for Melb games but also all games haha.

NRL tried a game with the noise then a game without it last week. So much better with the canned crowd. Howe looks chit. Pies look really good but still not far enough in front.

We just need to listen.... and learn and then make changes. I’ve felt a deep sadness these last few weeks. Sadness about not doing enough, sadness about the incredible out in the open racism you see of forums everyday, sadness that without video evidence so many of the crimes committed against minorities would be swept under the rug, sadness that racism has become about which side of politics you’re on/who you vote for, sadness it won’t change for some years yet. I really hope AFL clubs and players make a real stand moving forward.

KUDOS!!! I saw the pic on the Dees website with Hunt cuddling (tackling) RIvers and I thought that is as close to rnd 2 Hunt will get.... big surpise but well done on Hunt getting back into the mix.

The hard thing for HL is that his "brand" is not great, so people will just think he is stirring up trouble "again" or he is a flake. Another disgruntled ex whatever. The other hard part is being white I've got no idea what he has been through but I believe him, it's not like he has made multiple complaints (making multiple complaints also isn't a reason to not believe someone). I'm trying to be as open minded during this time as possible, I think people need to step back and not politicise race and not look to point score on negative or positive relationships they have. (not saying you are, just making the point).

As an overall though I think this line of discussion is totally taking away from the thread title.

Not that it has anything to do with HL story at Collingwood.
