Cruise ship staff, travel industry the list just goes on. I hope you’ve got some support besides the time spent of here .

I think you’ve jumped to conclusions on “abuse the membership dept“ out of that but I’d hate to cast aspersions on people who may not be in a financial situation to have a luxury spend like footy membership right now or might need that money back (if possible) to pay rent or bills etc.

I work from home one day a week... the jokes and gags every week for over 2 years about what my tee time is or if I’m at the pub already or out mowing the lawn is ridiculous. I had to make a point of bringing it up at a Friday night drinks in front of the entire office as a draconian and out dated thought process. Here is hoping people are able to understand the value (if you’re self motivated) and extra work you can get done whilst at home and not surrounded by people wanting meetings or asking qs so you can’t focus on work. I’m saying that a number of large multi national businesses have gone away from working from home as they’ve seen productivity drop. Sorry for digressing but this is an interesting by product of where this is leading.

Love it, the Irish lads (ladies) were on the Dees podcast a few weeks ago and sound very driven and loving the time at the Dees. Great to see the Irish connection continues into another generation and amazing to see the Stynes name still ringing out at “home” and abroad still.

What about a club like Essendon who I would assume has a fiat old mortgage on the hanger they built not too long ago or the Hawks who pillage the community through pokies and are spending money on a new place in Dingly? You’d think the likes of West Coast and Freo will have less of an issue. The small Melb clubs are in strife (inc MFC), Sydney could really feel the pinch but it has potential to affect most clubs.

Covid has everyone’s attention I think toasty. I was always taught the harder you go the more ball you win either yourselves but at the very least for your team. I used to love sliding in/diving in hard and hated the idea of any changes to the game. The sliding rule I hated at the time but as time wears on I see more merit in changes to the game that promote the likely hood of less injuries especially head injuries. (I think Ernie was taking the fizz, he thinks he can write you know).
