Jack Viney Restricted Free Agent
Yea gives “110%”... legacy indeed. The legacy of this club is failure. We currently stand as a club of absolute underachievement, a soft, gets ahead of itself, drinks it’s own bath water never will be’s and won’t win a flag. He’s been a leader of this club and where it stands today.

DD it’s gone too far away from that game nowadays. You need to have some skill with the ball/footy brain/leadership. I also don’t think he brings that often enough during a season, it’s very hard to do so in this spread type game that AFL has become.

Libba is a much smarter footballer and has better skills/knows his limitations very well! Off field........

Jack Viney Restricted Free Agent
Where is his professionalism and leadership? How is he dragging the playing group to finals let alone a flag? That is not looking to defend the footy dept, I just think the players need to be accountable too, where has Jack improved his kicking or decision making or leadership? Good luck at the Cats Jack. Brayshaw has more upside than Jack and is younger, he’s got time to grow, Jack Is at his very peak as a player and won’t get any better/will be less effective from here. I feel like JV will have a bigger and faster cliff than Jonesy. His game style is becoming dated without being good by foot or hand. Im saying this as a fan of him and his dad as Dees players.

Happy for JV to test his free agency. He’s at his peak as a player, he’s not going to get better in his skills and he’ll not be able to sustain the manic nature of his game for too much longer. He is too inconsistent for us, his best this season is great to watch, it doesn’t happen often enough. He bleeds red and blue, lol. Will he get us to a flag? I’d put the chips on Trac, Oliver and Brayshaw etc over him now.

CHANGES: Rd 17 vs GWS
Oh ffs Goody enough! Vanders making his teammates walk tall narrative is done now. The guy started slowly this year, built up to an average output against the pies (I said terrible at the time) and has been worse since. Again, the club has built itself entirely on contested, “competitive” players... 2018 was the aberration at this point and guys like Vanders don’t have the skill or smarts to win us a flag. Happy to review this after he retires.

I like your analysis TU, if you look at it over the year: Backline - Above average to average in output (although it dawned on me when I saw Lever, May and Tomlinson all in the backline we have so much invested here when typically you'd be investing in Mids and Fwds $$) Mids - Average to below average (a couple of well above average games) Fwds - below average to poor the entire season A good team will still be able to get a win last night and Swans game by having a half decent, functioning forward line.

The club employees mobile was very slippery from the blustery, wet and humid conditions in the press room. Poor bugger kept dropping it and ineffectually knocking it on and into opposition media teams who kept snapping it up easily and passing it around the back of the media room while laughing in our persons face and saying “na na na nan you can get it back”. It was a horrible scene but our person had some really strong learnings to come out of it, along with a wedgie so not all roses.

Someone talked about hard it would be to instil a culture in covid time’s, I beg to differ. The entire list is in the one place together dealing with it together, this is the best time to instil, develop or enhance a culture... And this is what we get... not 1 leader in the entire footy dept, not 1!!!!
