Funny I felt sorry for him a couple of times during the game. He was clearly trying but it is game 1 for him and just thought he would be coping an earful from the Pies fans.

jnr I have been thinking for a number of weeks now chopping the arms frees have really dropped off this year. The umps used to be very hot on it but it appears to me that it has not been penalised this year in the same way it has been. I am expecting a "rule of the week" type scenario at some stage this year where it come back onto the radar big time.

Agree, I feel next year we will see a big jump in our ability to find space and hit targets by hand and foot releasing team mates into space which will then lead to us winning more games.

We will keep seeing this from all Dees players, they have said they have been told to be bold and take the game on. We are a second from glory and a second from disaster... It will get much better as we move through the year and into next year and we will be incredibly enjoyable to watch but have some drop offs.

Yea Sharks clearly looked overawed by the occasion and got dumped on. Pens the champs and were the better team all series. Sid the kid, so good.

If he had PEDs hands he'd be brilliant as he works that little bit harder and with that little bit more pace than PEDs. If Dawesy can just get that half step on his opponent he will take a few more marks and was good to see him in the ruck some, Watts needed a spell...
