  1. Both @Jumping Jack Clennett and @Timothy Reddan-A'Blew are very close to the answer but neither has quite nailed it just yet. Clue #4: The answer consists of two elements. I'm not sure what other clues I can provide that might strike a chord with Demonlanders. The teaser can carry over to Tuesday given the shortage of solvers. I thought it was an easy one, too!
  2. You have to play to get votes.
  3. Clue #3: The "Bailey" reference was a red herring and has no relevance to the solution. (Sorry, not sorry. )
  4. Despite the fact he hasn't played for two years, the All-Australian selectors will find a place for him in the squad.
  5. Clue #2: Although there is a local connection, the answer is not related to footy or any other sport.
  6. Oh, a wise guy eh?
  7. Wise decision by Paddy I would say.
  8. Last place on the podium has been snaffled by @Tim who also wins a book for his efforts. Unfortunately, the prize for third is a significant drop in quality.
  9. Peewits?
  10. Second place has been claimed by @tilly18, who takes home this literary accessory. He should be very pleased, chuffed, delighted, happy, glad, elated and satisfied.
  11. Clue #1: The team lacks a coach. Chris Scott would fit the bill, as would his brother Brad.
  12. We have a winner! Congratulations* to @Engorged Onion who wins this prize which is in keeping with the thread title. * n., sentence substitute. expressions of pleasure or joy on another's success, good fortune, etc.
  13. A few attempts but no correct answers at this stage. Special mention to @dl4e for suggesting that all their grandparents were prison guards.
  14. I was going to blame the umpires for the two set shots that the normally reliable van Rooyen missed, but it turns out that was the fault of @WalkingCivilWar and the incorrect positioning of the bullseye sign.
  15. Still feeling Blue? Meh. Football shmootball. Time for a diversion. You all know the drill. What do the players in today's team have in common? I would rate the side as very strong but the teaser as fairly easy. Could the Bailey symmetry of the half-forward flankers be a clue? As ever, please reply by PM only. Prizes will be awarded! B: Jonathan Hay Darcy Moore Dougal Howard H/B: Michael Wilson Tom Stewart Hayden Young C: Archie Perkins Luke Parker Josh Kelly H/F: Bailey Smith John Barnes Zac Bailey F: Dan Butler Paul Salmon Brent Harvey R: Jeff White Noah Anderson Nathan Jones I/C: Jack Higgins Andrew Walker Tom Gillies Harry Morrison
  16. Good to hear that SWYL is still vertical. Any reason he doesn't post here any more?
  17. I thought it had already been extended from 7.25 to 7.30. Have they now added another five minutes?

I remember being taught in under 12s how to kick a stab pass (ask your grandfather).
  19. We never heard the answer to this teaser. I am curious!
  20. Good to see Kye Turner in the side. He's missed a hell of a lot of footy this year.
  21. Trent Cotchin (Richmond) to finish up at the end of this year.
  22. Isaac Smith (Geelong) to retire at the end of this season. I'm hoping that's Round 24.
  23. You must have missed his follow-up post (now rightly deleted by a mod) where he was bragging about baiting other Demonland posters. Trolling, in other words.
  24. I thought trolling was against this forum's rules. You're neither as funny nor as clever as you seem to think you are.
  25. Paging @Hawk the Demon!
