Two draws in two days?

I would also advise that posters don't use a big word when a singularly unloquacious and diminutive linguistic expression will satisfactorily accomplish the contemporary necessity. At this stage, I should put my hand up and confess that I sometimes use big words that I don't know the meaning of in an attempt to sound more photosynthesis.

I'm not aware of any poster who has better mail than goodwindees. Thanks for the update.

Alas Colin, I think the battle for correct apostrophe use has been well and truly lost, not just in this example but also in the overwhelming number of nuffies who think that plurals (or any word ending in 's') require one. In addition to apostrophes and capital letters (as pointed out in another thread), a colon can completely change the meaning of a sentence. Consider the difference between "I enjoy eating my wife's cooking" and "I enjoy eating my wife's colon".

Working fine for me, Sydee.

I hate being bipolar. It's awesome!

I just drove past Whitten Oval and it looks as though we won't face much opposition today.

Who are the Two Noahs? And was one of them married to Joan of Ark?

Don't forget folks, it's West Footscray station, not Footscray. I clearly remember the jubilation at the station and on the train after we won that game in 1987 to make the finals!

Yep, Harry Beitzel was 3AW.

Sidebar: With all the mentions in trading threads of "steak knives", I wonder if younger posters have any idea what that unusual phrase is actually all about. I admit to not watching much TV these days, but surely it's been many a long year since we had ads like that?

I know you're not in the habit of using them, but capital letters are very important dc. It's the difference between helping your Uncle Jack off a horse and helping your uncle jack off a horse.

We tanked. I know others clubs did/do the same, but haven't been called out on it like we were. Cheers Brock! I remember one game in particular v St Kilda when Jurrah was kicking goals and starring up forward while Frawley was keeping Reiwoldt quiet at the other end and we were headed for victory. Lo and behold, Jurrah was benched, Frawley was moved to the forward line and Reiwoldt subsequently cut loose and was the matchwinner for the Saints.

You're planning a nudie run if we win the flag this year?

26th July is Mick Jagger's birthday. Let's hope we all get some satisfaction on the night.

Between the Flags - a great new book on the MFC
Demonstone replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
My copy of "Between The Flags" arrived today and, having just had a quick skim through, I can't wait until I have time to sit down and give it a proper, thorough read. Kudos to Ian for the speedy postage and handling. -
I've still got the first TISM single that I bought back in the 1980s, the title of which would not pass the censors on this site (initials are "D.O.M.F."). It's a 7" single that came packaged in a 12" cardboard sleeve that was glued on all four sides, so you had to break into the packaging to get to the actual record. Those wacky funsters!

Oliver looked ginger at training today, as did Bowey and Petty.

I know that Weid's grandfather was a Collingwood legend, but is there any other reason so many posters assume that they would be keen on trading for Sam? Surely any club would chase players based on talent and needs, not lineage.
