Dan Houston
Carlton fans are worried Walsh's ongoing back issues will limit his ability to play at his best and Cerra's repeated hamstrings will limit his ability to play at his best. Houston may find that it challenging to align Port's value on him with what draft pick/s clubs offer for him.

Houston I don't have a problem with that. Keep Pick 5 or 6 and let Jason Taylor go to work.

Ultimately the buck stops with Goodwin. If he can't get his head around the need to move the ball more quickly then its just deckchairs on the titanic.

PREGAME: Rd 23 vs Gold Coast
As a starting point: Out: Oliver In: Moniz-Wakefield Oliver is just not anywhere near fit enough to compete at AFL level so he should not be picked at AFL level. By picking him we've compromised out ability to win games this year week in week out. If its frustrating as a fan to see it one can only imagine that there'd be some frustrations amongst the playing group.

Time for a Change….Don’t wait another 2 years…
We're supposed to be playing for sheep stations. 3 failed seasons in a row. Team selection/balance, positioning, decision making/execution, ball movement and intensity all areas where sharp improvement is needed. If Goody can't get significant improvement to how we play this season then board has a decision to make. If Goody stays and we have another failed season in 25 then its the board itself that will come under scrutiny. And after 3 terrible losses to West Coast, Freo and Pies its time for some underperforming senior players to get a spell at Casey, or in Oliver's case the extra 4 - 6 weeks of pre season loading that its clear he needed after his 2023 and off season challenges.

Harrison Petty
An unplanned interview! So Ch9 just has camera crews hanging round Adelaide golf courses to interview random golfers? It was a setup to put pressure on the Dees. Still Harry stays a Dee until end of 2025 season unless the trade assets Adelaide offer at end of 2024 can be used to secure a quality replacement key forward.

We can't trade Petty without securing a key forward replacement to replace him from Round 1 2024. We're in the premiership window and we need to win games now. That is more important than selling Petty high. And the deal offered by Crows does not come close to selling Petty high.

Trade Rumours 2023
Its only a good idea if its a salary cap dump accompanied by their first draft pick from Tigers. That is fairly obvious. GWS may not be interested and it may indeed be La La Land stuff in that regard. But if it is available then Haynes actual playing ability is irrelevant. We'd be buying Pick 6 with the 2024 contract value we absorb and the list spot.

So in 24 we're in the window and rely on Benny Brown and Tommy Mac to support JVR in anticipation of getting a free agent in 24 FA/Trade for 25 season? No thankyou very much.

Harrison Petty
Which one. Could only trade Petty if we have a trade deal agreed for a quality key forward. By key forward I mean a player who can at least halve long balls in like Petty can by taking pack marks or bringing the ball to his feet. Petty is also smart on the lead and an accurate kick which is strangely under rated. So who could we unlock? Otherwise hold Petty for 24 and 25 as a key player in push for 14 and see where he is at end of 25 re going home.
