  1. I don't think Graham Wright would have an interest in being a lowly List Manager.
  2. Kennedy is treacle slow. As the game gets faster, spread and speed rule. Teams can carry some one paced players but not many, there is no position to hide them. Looking out our midfield mix we need more speed than less. If the Blues don't see him as a centre bounce mid maybe he is not a centre bounce mid. If his endurance is elite then maybe he could lay a Nibbler type role but its not clear that it is.
  3. We need to prioritise speed and spread with our draft capital. Cerra has looked decidedly ordinary at Carlton and is coming off a year decimated by hamstring injuries.
  4. lazy clickbait masquerading as journalism. move on.
  5. Treacle slow one position player in a game increasingly demanding speed and spread.
  6. Slow, one paced player. The game is increasingly prioritising speed and spread, and that is where we need to focus our drafting and trading. A pass for mine.
  7. Treacle slow which limits him as the game is being played in 2024.
  8. or was someone else with urgent motivation to construct a deal?
  9. 'keep a first round pick this year' First round will run into the 20s.
  10. Carlton fans are worried Walsh's ongoing back issues will limit his ability to play at his best and Cerra's repeated hamstrings will limit his ability to play at his best. Houston may find that it challenging to align Port's value on him with what draft pick/s clubs offer for him.
  11. Houston I don't have a problem with that. Keep Pick 5 or 6 and let Jason Taylor go to work.
  12. Ultimately the buck stops with Goodwin. If he can't get his head around the need to move the ball more quickly then its just deckchairs on the titanic.
  13. As a starting point: Out: Oliver In: Moniz-Wakefield Oliver is just not anywhere near fit enough to compete at AFL level so he should not be picked at AFL level. By picking him we've compromised out ability to win games this year week in week out. If its frustrating as a fan to see it one can only imagine that there'd be some frustrations amongst the playing group.
  14. Late career way past his best David Grant from St Kilda!
  15. James Peatling out of contract. Giants Nm 20 who has 28 possies on Saturday night.
  16. We're supposed to be playing for sheep stations. 3 failed seasons in a row. Team selection/balance, positioning, decision making/execution, ball movement and intensity all areas where sharp improvement is needed. If Goody can't get significant improvement to how we play this season then board has a decision to make. If Goody stays and we have another failed season in 25 then its the board itself that will come under scrutiny. And after 3 terrible losses to West Coast, Freo and Pies its time for some underperforming senior players to get a spell at Casey, or in Oliver's case the extra 4 - 6 weeks of pre season loading that its clear he needed after his 2023 and off season challenges.
  17. as a key defender....
  18. NRL is in Vegas ready to knock off the NFL so Sydney and Brisbane have no NRL games.
  19. are you always in the kitchen at parties?
  20. Sponsors with logo on jumpers will love the Thursday night prime time free to air exposure. Free to air prime time games are much more commercially valuable than Pay TV prime time.
  21. An unplanned interview! So Ch9 just has camera crews hanging round Adelaide golf courses to interview random golfers? It was a setup to put pressure on the Dees. Still Harry stays a Dee until end of 2025 season unless the trade assets Adelaide offer at end of 2024 can be used to secure a quality replacement key forward.
  22. 2nd trade period in a row we've done a favor for Paul Connors which is probably smart business.
  23. Trade Radio much the better for Silvagni finding gainful full time employment!
  24. Reports seem to vary between 500K and 700K. If we get him for a circa 350K cap hit (which clears 150-300k for Saints) then he is a low cap/draft assets moneyball depth option. His best is good but can he be injury free and rebuild his confidence to get near his best?
  25. Moneyball option as depth. Has skill but has struggled to get on park and probably down on confidence. If reports are true that he has 2 years left on 500K a year and Saints are willing to cover part of contract then he could be a low cost depth option as mid/half forward type.
