  1. Viney, Brayshaw, and Olivers contract, just terrible mismanagement. Viney swindled the club, Oliver didn't warrant the dollars (behavioural issues were well known), and Brayshaw we signed to a huge deal after concussion issues were already concerning. We will still feel the effects of those deals, however, Petracca upholding his part of the deal, has allowed us to cover for the other bad contracts. Great clubs don't make the mistakes we've made.
  2. I think it was a win/win for both clubs. GC are ready for a tilt at top 6 and beyond, as evidenced by them making the finals last year. There is no doubt they are on the up. Their list is ready. However, one thing they did lack, was an experienced finals campaigner, who can turn a game on its head. That is Petracca. They may have overpaid slightly for him, but that is what clubs have to do to get quality in. If they make top 4 and give themselves a double chance, then its worth it. Even if they can host a couple finals up there it would go a long way for them.
  3. Culley is not a surprise. He is elite.
  4. Broken out in 2025
  5. I'd like to be proven wrong, but I don't think hes up to it skill wise. I would be surprised if he is still on the list in 2027.
  6. Culley is beast. He has that presence about him - in that he is supremely confident in his abilities. He will get his chance in the midfield, and it helps that he has size and presence about him. With Viney out, we'll need that. To have Culley, and Lanford in the middle, it changes our dynamic greatly from last year, both can tackle, are strong, and are dangerous overhead.
  7. I think its always good to get the Gippsland Power lads. A lot of the power youngstars end up at Casey if they don't get drafted. When you are from Gippsland, you are used of the long travel growing up, so the Casey issue is negligent to a lot of the kids drafted out of Gippland, or any already in the AFL system. The more Power kids we draft the better, so long as its warranted.
  8. Looks as though he could have some traits to be a good key position player.
  9. I am the draft guru. I'd probably give the next best to Shifter.
  10. Some of them hate the heat. I wouldn't lock Brisbane in.
  11. Geelong need Oliver. They don't have his type. The fact they taken a spud like Worpel over Oliver, is telling. Obviously there must be a little more than we know about Clayton.
  12. Good pick up. Even if we get two solid years out of him. Adds some protection around the ball for the younger brigade. Having Steele and Viney in the middle could work. Viney and Oliver didn't work.
  13. Clayton is the best player we've had since Flower. It would take an insane offer to prize him out of MFC. Its a cop out to push him out, and also a cop out to ask him to change his game. How about we work with Oliver, and find out what has changed since he was at his best. My guess, on a quick view of the recent clip in the van, where he gave Dees a whack, and stuttered in doing so, is that Clayton is dealing with a mould exposure issue. Instead of just telling the best since Flower to change his game, actually dig a little deeper and finding out why he lost his form in the first place. We gave Goodwin far more time to improve - than we are giving Oliver.
  14. I have the best track record and haven't heard anything.
  15. Its a raffle. I thought Reece Walsh wouldve been sin binned for sure, but wasn't. It is a tough watch. There is a lot of high level athletes wasting their time copping unnecessary head knocks
