2025 MRO & Tribunal
I remember this - was a great tackle. He let him go and still got some. Again it’s a footy act that is judged on the outcome. Annoying how everyone is coming to Curtis’s defence.

Training Ground?
If we were to change to Port Melb as prospective site, the delay would be more than 12 months.

2025 MRO & Tribunal
Does anyone have the deets/footage on Chandlers suspension re the run down tackle from a few years back. It seems the footy industry has collectively forgotten about this all together.

Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
Today Looks pretty lean to me. If you look close enough I reckon his heads looks too small for his body.

Did Jake lever skip past the 4-6 undetected?

Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
Goody did allude to the fact that he will still need more time at the start of the season. If what others have said is true that you don’t gain fitness in season, then why don’t we put him through more in season - I hate to say it- loading to increase his fitness base? Why wait until the next pre season ? Surely it’s not impossible to do this ? The season is just about shot anyway so I don’t know we don’t switch up Clarrys program to put this [censored] well and truly behind him.

The Next CEO
It’s a training facility first and will be a very good one. Having public transport access is not a priority even if vfl and aflw games are played there. Caulfield gives us everything we need but will be in the middle of a racetrack.

The Next CEO
This is a good selection. The guy has the right credentials from a business perspective and given our most pressing issues are off field I’d expect him to get it done. Coincidently I just watched the Hawks YouTube video on their new home base in Dingley and It is world class. We have to throw everything we can at Caulfield it will go a long way in attracting talent to our club in the years to come.

Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
Wasnt he flying this pre-season though? Surely the hammy tear in '23 isnt limiting his ability to explode from contest. Perhaps its also confidence and willpower. maybe its all between the ears? He was non existent in the first Half, then came out like a man possessed in Q3 before tailing off again.

Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
He is 100% trying to push a Geelong narrative in the media. I love the way Kingy shut it down albeit on the basis that Clarry is unlikely to return to his former self and Geelong are better suited investing in their youth. Aside from that, i really really want to know what is behind this notion that Oliver cannot return to his best. Many on here (myself included) seem to accept this - likely due to almost 2 years worth of below Oliver's known AFLCA level of performances. i know he missed last years pre-season or a fare chunk of it, but surely that alone cannot account for what we are seeing. Is it understanding the new game plan or his ability to execute role? Goody did give him a reprieve at the start of the year and he is still playing 78% of game time. I cant see why he doesnt play in the same way that Libba does. They are ultimately the same type of player.

You want Eagles to have a competitive game if they get their tails handed to em they will come out firing next week.

NON-MFC: Round 07
Geez having Nate Caddy in red and blue would have been handy. I really like the way he plays.

NON-MFC: Round 07
Yep I agree with this. They do play a winning style of footy, however their game is very taxing on the older bodies. I can’t see Pendles and SideBottom which are relied upon staying fresh through the whole season. Pendles already coming in off the bench is starting to show his age.

EASTER Forward Line Hunt
I can’t believe I’m at this point again but I’m now settled on Petty as a permanent forward line player. He gives us good shape and hits the packs well. I seriously think our ball movement and his limited pre season had a profound impact on him last year and his ability to play the position well. JVR will be better with him there as Petty knows how to play the position well enough. Surround him with Kozzy, Chin, Kolt as our small HFs. Fritta / Sparrow / Trac / Viney. I’d send Turner back but he very may well be our Tmac v2 ala swingman. Question on who is back up ruck. JVR or Petty?

KOZZY A DEMON FOR LIFE!!!
If Kozzy can put in another 3-4 performances like that (4+ goals) across the rest of the year and another 4-5 games with 2-3 goals and 20+ disposals, not only will he make his first AA but Freo will have to part way with a premium hand… I’m talking LJ and 2x 1st round picks. Don’t forget LJs contract will be significant so his net value will only be equivalent to a single first rounder. He is a good ruckman that has failed to reach the heights we thought he was capable of… .

POSTGAME: Rd 07 vs Richmond
Stoked for the win and see some good plays. We still have problems that need to be addressed. Inconsistent football being the major one. Gap in our best and worst is too far apart. If we can square the ledger (big IF) I’ll be a lot more optimistic about our season.

Oliver’s clearly has an attitude problem. When he wills himself he gets much more involved. It was a great quarter from him.
