  1. I have a son the same age as Fritta. He wants to know if Mrs Fritta wears socks with his face on them. It’s a valid question. i have a framed photo of Fritta on the lounge room wall. My son asked if Pauline (Fritta’s mum) has a framed photo of him (my son) on her lounge room wall. She said, “Did you kick six goals in a grand final?” He said, “I couldn’t. We were in lockdown here.” Then he said, “Besides, I would’ve kicked seven.” 😁 Note: this kid wouldn’t know a footy if it bounced up and hit him in the face.
  2. When you receive that one cr@pppy gift as per every Christmas, remember this… there’s always someone receiving any even cr@pppier one. Eg… 😝
  3. 🎊🎈🎄🥂⭐️ 🎁😘 ♥️🎅🏽 MERRY XMAS Y’ALL!
  4. It’s heartwarming to see how many of our players and coaches and admin. staff and fans have donated. Even $5 is a worthy contribution. As they say, it all adds up.
  5. Thank you for posting this, wouldn’t have known about it otherwise. Last night I posted the link in the DA general WhatsApp and quite a few have donated ❤️💙 Almost $41,000 of the target ($70,000) has been raised. Hopefully they reach the target, and hoping Disco’s Dad is on the improve 🤞🏽
  6. The neph out-curled him that’s for sure, but last I heard… no mullet. And I’m sure the neph’s mum would like to keep it that way. 😁
  7. … and the influence trickles down to fans. After training the other week a lovely fellow DL-er (👋) and his preteen nephew (who has an awesome big mop of curls) and I asked Kolt to have a pic taken with the boy coz curls and lots of ‘em. Kolt says, “Hey I love your hair. Now all you need is a mullet!” 😳
  8. Not gonna happen. 😭 And we’ve got Salo to blame for it was he who took Fritta to the barber and advised him to get “something different.” 🤣
  9. He most certainly is. He’s very keen to rip into Season 2025. Also, this the first time in a while that he’s not got even the slightest trace of a niggle. He’s able to play with the utmost of freedom and with that comes increased confidence.
  10. I have unrealistic expectations at the *beginning of every season, but I think what’s important is how one deals with those expectations not being met. Personally I remind myself that our team’s fortunes are not something in my control. It also helps to blindly adore our players and coaches 😁 *this is why the Season Launch is by far and away *THE BEST function on the calendar. Clean slate, fresh start, etc. Everyone is full of hope and confidence for a successful season. If you can get yourself there it’s well worth the effort and $ *except for last year’s Season Launch but only because it was held on the same day Gussy’s forced retirement was announced publicly. 😢
  11. Expect to be set upon and duly pummelled by five Spurs players when next you meet. 😜
  12. Comments like this only serve to compound the problem.
  13. I reckon when he’s killing it out there next season he mightn’t dwell on it so much. I hope so, anyways.
  14. Okaaaaaay 😳 Thank you for explaining… I think. One thing I completely understand is your obvious respect and admiration for the late, great RDB and that’s very cool. We friends again? 😘
  15. They resume training at 10am on Thursday the 9th of January at Casey Fields. The schedule thereafter has yet to be announced. If you and your kids are here for most of January there’s these sessions… At this stage they’re set to commence at 10am.
  16. Not a cheap shot at all, 58er. Typos notwithstanding I had trouble understanding what you were trying to express.
  17. He’s definitely self-conscious and it’s sad to see. He’s putting in so much work and now that his hand has fully healed he’s close to 2021 Claz (IMHO). Goody and Selwyn and pretty much everyone involved are very pleased with where he’s at now. Most importantly, he knows that he’s turned the corner. But it’s this notion that he’s not ripped and that he’s “fat” that seems to pervade his thoughts. I guess running around with the likes of Tracc and Melks etc. doesn’t help, even Bowser’s sporting a little six-pack.
  18. The guy’s a mindfulness coach, not a miracle worker.
  19. Ben’s first assignment: get into Clarrie’s head and convince him he’s NOT a fat [censored], which is how he currently sees himself. He believes this. At the sponsors/coterie function two weeks ago our DA boss-lady asked us to get a pic of a player in our tent. It’s a DA thang. She suggested Clarrie so I went to ask him. As we were heading to the tent we passed a fan who realised where I was taking Clarrie and this bloke says, “Hey Clayton, I hope you’re not thinking of eating any sausages!” and he laughs and nods towards Clarrie’s stomach. I instantly sensed a change in Clarrie and I said, “Dude thinks he’s hilarious.” Clarrie put his hand on his stomach and said, “He’s not wrong, though.” I told him for starters pot/kettle and a VERY BIG pot at that (this bloke wasn’t exactly rocking a washboard belly). I reminded him that he’s super fit and in great shape etc. and that genetics plays a part etc. and similar uplifting facts. Clarrie perceives himself as fat and perception is reality. But perception can be changed. Have at him, Ben!!!
  20. Nah, @Demonland is the one with the Maxy scoop. Seems he knew something was up a day before the news broke, or should I say before Maxy’s larynx broke (too soon?) Hope to see you at training again before you go back home to Seattle. And hope your guts behave themselves. Hashtag No More Squirtz 😜
  21. I’d barely finish the sentence “Let me tell you all about it” and they’d be out the door. 😄 They humour me when I get home from a nail-biting win for example, but listening to training stories is a bridge too far.
  22. Better it happened now than in a couple of months. Also, it proves they’re not holding back during training. #GlassStillHalfFull
  23. This reminds me of when a teammate trod on Fritta’s foot during training two years ago, causing significant damage. I don’t know who broke Maxy’s larynx but what I can say is it wasn’t the same player since the Foot-gate player no longer plays for us. 😁
  24. It sure does. The surface will be ready by then. It will be closed. Track-watchers can attend but can only watch from behind the fence.
