We use the term “Gameday mascot” when referring to the kid who gets to run through the banner holding hands with a player. As for the adults in costumes who are mascots, I never take notice of their names. I just feel bad for them when it’s 30+ degrees and they can’t sneak a quick drink without taking the head off which would probs freak out little kids.
