7,8 and F1 (probably 10-18) is a head turner in my opinion. For a 30 year old possibly on the decline I think we win that trade. Sets us up nicely for the future, time for a good ol death ride for the suns next year.

Unfortunately Lamb will get bashed by our supporters and be made the scapegoat, when the returns we get for Trac and Clarry aren’t his fault entirely. They’ve tried hard to get Humphrey, we’re blocked by the Suns and that’s the best you could ask to be active and trying to make things happen. I would personally be okay with getting De Goey in, if the price isn’t too much. He’s on a two-year deal and probably has 2 years of decent footy left in him, I think he’s less of a ratbag nowadays and can help be a stop gap with the future kids coming in.

Trac and Pick Swaps for 7 and 8 Oliver for a F2-F3 It’s looking like the deal for Charlie Curnow will be Florent, Hayward and 1-2x 1st rounders which is a very good deal in my opinion for Carlton for a player who doesn’t want to be there. I have heard rumours around us making a player for a hawks player which has been discussed on this thread. I feel like it comes down to either Mackenzie, Jiath or Hustwaite (and may depend on the Merrett trade too, which I think is probably dead in the water) I could very much see us dealing a F2 for Jiath or Hustwaite, Mackenzie may cost more.

I’m beginning to accept it will be 7 and 8 with pick swaps here and there for Petracca. I do feel we will need to go hard after Florent, Simpkin, Steele or Jiath as a more mature age player to replace lost players in our best 23. I wonder what the chances are we go to the Tigers and offer 7 and 8 for Pick 3 (which will likely get pushed back anyway) JT has had discussions with and likes Sullivan Robey so I’m wondering if we move up for that reason?

To be completely honest I am probably too lazy to do that. I’ll likely just deal with it, and go to my traditional 6-8 games a year.

If we trade the brand for a few picks in a weak draft, I will probably do nothing because I’m a pretty calm and tame person, but I will be disapproving of it.

Heath deal hasn't hit a snag, I think it'll happen sometime next week when all our other affairs are in order Re Petracca, Oliver, May if he goes.

We may have to attach future picks to this deal in order to make it work. Something like Trac, Pick 23 and Future Second for Humphrey and Pick 7 works, and still allows us to get White, Sinnema, Mihochek and Heath as well. Otherwise I can also see a scenario where we don’t get pick 7 and this maybe becomes a later first round pick from either the suns or elsewhere, if they do end up splitting a pick.
