  1. Again, don’t think it’s doom and gloom, playing ok but just can’t convert. Fairly optimistic, actually…
  2. Round 22, 2007 rematch is on the cards again… only this time if we lose, we get nothing. 🤣🤡
  3. I’m actually losing sleep thinking about the next 2 weeks. Our one paced midfield allergic to speed and 2 way running up against: Anderson, Rowell, Humphrey, Weller, Dempsey, Atkins, Smith, Holmes and even Knevit who’s looking to be a seriously good player. Not even counting the older heads Dangerfield, Miller and Blicavs who’ll roll through.
  4. I never commented on it because I just thought it was an overreaction, but considering there is a topic dedicated to it now, I’ll comment and say the overreaction was just nonsense. I am admittedly 1 of many who are now questioning Goodwin’s position, but what he said post match is actually quite normal and would not have come as a surprise to anyone who has regularly listened to him talk. Goodwin has always been one to elaborate and give lengthy answers to questions. He gave context around his answer. He didn’t even spill any specific secrets even after the reporter followed up, and what’s ironic is, he sure as hell didn’t reveal it was a sickness. It wasn’t until the media beat up that the sickness in the family came out into public light.
  5. Lmao, this “5 minute” logic your are applying is akin to those who spew and attack certain journalists about having not played the game at the highest level, so their opinion is instantly invalid? Ironically, those types of fans haven’t played either. Just because you haven’t played the game at a high level does not mean you can’t form an opinion. Same logic applies here. I am confused.. is this a forum run by the global World Economic Forum elites, or is this is an open, public fan forum? You were once a new user yourself, so in essence, you are also nothing in the grand scheme of things.
  6. We were the team that overthrew the “throw dogs” and conquered “free kick Bulldogs” and were cheered for it by opposition fans. Now we are back to being pitied and the laughing stock of the competition. Good times… God help us if we put in another half hearted performance when urgent response is required.
  7. We can clearly see they are trying new things, BUT the core issues still remain; toothless going forward in spite of an avalanche of inside 50’s. This is Goodwin year on year: Round 3, 2017 v Geelong: "It was frustrating. Clearly you've got to kick goals to win games of footy and we didn't do that today," Round 21, 2018 v Sydney "We didn't connect well forward of centre. It's been a little bit of a tale of some of our games this year where we've struggled to connect and have efficiency inside forward 50.” Round 6, 2019 v Richmond "We had our opportunities through the middle of the ground, but we couldn't connect with our handball and our kicking," Round 15 and 16, 2020 against lowly Sydney and Freo were the same. Inefficiency cost us finals. 2021 was a lot better but there were still patches where we had the same struggles, and we all know how 2022-2024 resulted. In essence, over 9 years, nothing has been done to fix the core problem that has been staring us in the face.
  8. Props to Henderson, JVR and Lindsay. Players who actually have balls and backbone. 15 tackles between the 3 of them while Rivers, Trac, Oliver, Viney Sparrow combined for 8. JVR gets a lot of flack, but his follow up efforts can never be questioned and why I will never want to see him dropped. There are 10 others who should be considered before him. Overrated midfield. It’s a shame those aforementioned 3 didn’t get the support around them.
  9. Seeing Carlton fans leaning over the fence and spraying their own players had always been funny to me because they are Carlton and always fun to see them in pain, but man, not so funny when it happens to us.. Seeing that video of fans giving it to the players as they were coming off and Petracca and Gawn being the only players to acknowledge the noise and looking/staring as they were going off was a painful sight. Petracca had a sorrowful look in his eyes which made it more sad considering the off season fiasco on top of the apparent off field issues the captain had been dealing with.
  10. Jaymie Graham. Just like how most credit Yze for our flag, Simpson has had similar praise for Graham as forward coach of West Coast from 2017-19. Not too sure of his tactical nouse, but even hearing Riewoldt positively speak about him in the past from his time with St Kilda, it may be a risk worth taking. A young coach with a lot to prove and will no doubt be a refresher to go hand in hand with a restart for the club. Worked with McCrae and Mitchell, so with another year of assistant experience at Fremantle, he would no doubt be better for it should a club like us come calling. We still have a nucleus of a very good list who are all seriously underperforming.
  11. Strangely, I’m not losing all hope in spite of how diabolical that was. Just have a feeling we will turn it around. 2006, lost to Wooden Spooners Carlton round 1 and smashed by the Dogs round 2. Recouped and made a run to the Semis that year. North rightfully expected to push 8 wins and improve and was hungrier and fit early in the season. Not happy with Goodwin and the team, but no use sacking him now. We are good enough on paper to beat Gold Coast and then build from there
  12. My Ethiopian mate just texted me saying we make it incredibly hard to score goals and sweat like Ethiopian slaves just to get an opportunity to even try and score. Watching us play is exhausting. Was genuinely upbeat after last week, but man… it’s becoming just sad.
  13. Made Enright’s 300th miserable and would love to do the same to Darling. Was optimistic coming into the season and even moreso after last week. Reckon we will give them a rude awakening. Dees 40+
  14. Never rated Brisbane too highly. They may come out and win this match, but similarly to Dogs in 2016, they put together an unbelievable last month to win the flag. Daniher was the main cog in the GWS win and arguably without him, they get knocked. No hindsight, I just don’t think they are a step above the rest.
  15. Funny game footy. Like tennis, matchups is just a weird concept and thing to wrap your head around In tennis, Fabrice Santoro holds a h2h 7-2 against Safin and on the women’s side, Sharapova during their era is the second best player on tour mostly and still 2-20 Footy ain’t much different. We have an underrated rivalry with GWS, GWS matches up well with the Pies but our record against Collingwood has been horrendous during the Goodwin era. Not to mention the hilarity of Pies fans trying to downplay our ‘21 flag by saying they were the only team to have our measure. Didn’t a lowly Hawthorn (their bogey team) beat them in their flag year? Now, no disrespect to them, but St Kilda beat Geelong, but will anyone be surprised if they came out and lost to Richmond?
  16. Hope Port win by 100+….. 750 grams of Saxa salt into already gaping Blooze fans wounds.. couldn’t have happened to a better club. 🤣🤡
  17. Was away so really didn’t bask in the slow death of Carlton fans yet again on Thursday night due to the dodgy reception, but gotta admit, really don’t give a [censored] about Essendon now as they have been [censored] and irrelevant for over 7500 days. My personal dream is to see that magical 10000 days, but can’t say I take a lot of joy seeing them like this. I just smile and nod at the hilarity and quickly move on nowadays. Closer to pitying them rather than hate them. Also, Adelaide conceding 100 isn’t good. Let’s see them against more seasoned and fancied sides.
  18. This is the Carlton Bigfooty page right now. 😂
  19. Can’t log into Bigfooty. Carlton fans anger crashing the site and ironically cooking their memberships against Richmond. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
  20. There has to be a reason why he isn’t considered more in the centre bounce set up. He probably won’t be as good as Callum Mills when he is at his best, but remembering Mills lining up round 1 vs Brisbane for the first time as a bonefide midfielder after spending the first chunk of his career at half back and tearing it up with a 30 possession game and ripped it up from a clearance point of view. From memory, he also kicked 2 goals with something like 10 score involvements. Petracca, Oliver at their best with Salem regularly rotating would be extremely damaging on paper as he certainly has the poise and skill set to do so.
  21. Can’t stand how the media are froffing over Hawthorn after 1 game and treating 21, 22, 23 year olds as naive children, when in fact they are grown men. The Nick Watson coddling and love fest in spite of the quiet game is nauseating. Hopefully Essendon do us all a solid.
  22. Kane Cornes this morning: “Good morning, there is no rest, we push through and we don’t need pickle juice” 🤣 Don’t understand why he is so divisive. He’s genuinely hilarious in the way he winds people up. Absolutely ridiculous they halted play for the protected species. Would Oliver be afforded such luxury? Club and player can go and get f-cked
  23. We don’t know how good GWS are going to be, how good we’ll be or for all we know, Collingwood could be bottom 6. I can’t wait for next week in all honesty. I have belief in the entire club to give best account of themselves in 2025 become a really good side again. We can beat em.
  24. Daicos 🤣🤣🤣 Decent bloke, but gee, how good is it to see? Pies are nothing without him. Long may the targeting and tagging continue.
  25. The homeless are such a fickle bunch of subhumans. 🤣
