GAMEDAY: Rd 03 vs Carlton
[censored] hell man… we really shouldn’t be in this positon… how we have up 6 goals to an average side like this is a disgrace. Carlton are no Fremantle.

GAMEDAY: Rd 03 vs Carlton
We are cooked. Similar start in the wet against this same mob a few years ago and we had a Petracca save us and lost by a point. We aint coming back from this. Don’t care that Carlton have a bad second half record. We lost as soon as we gave up 6 goals and chasing tail AGAIN.

GAMEDAY: Rd 03 vs Carlton
This is [censored] balls. North aren’t in a rebuild? West Coast? Richmond? We shouldn’t be getting blown out against this Carlton side in the first quarter. There is no ounce of effort or want for the contest. Absolute [censored].

GAMEDAY: Rd 03 vs Carlton
About time we ended this losing streak. JVR to kick 5 on that dud Lewis Young and Langford to return to form with a 25+ game and a goal. Very glad King didn’t drop him after what was a poor start to the season.

NON-MFC: Round 03
Lmao, only 31k at the Saints/Brisbane match. With all the media build up and all the words being thrown between both clubs, St Kilda could only muster up 31k… It looked as though 5-6 thousand Brisbane/Fitzroy fans turned up. 26k Saints fan after a solid win last week is [censored] poor. Small, irrelevant club in every sense of the words

NON-MFC: Round 02
North losing to West Coast after an impressive round 1 showing of a team on the rise is literally the equivalent to when we beat GWS, a team who went on to contest a Prelim later in 2016 only to lose to the Essendon reserves the following week. Xerri dominated, Sheezle had 40, LDU had 30, Larkey kicked 6, Powell and McKercher had good games and Comben is a really good key defender. Finn O Sullivan, Curtis, Dovastan are very capable. That kid Blamires looks a good player on the rise. Reckon they will still be alright. Like Melbourne in 2016, North fans should expect a lot of growth, but also a lot of growing pains at the same time.

NON-MFC: Round 02
We lost, so I’m not in the greatest of moods, but I’ll be cheering for West Coast and Essendon. I really want Port to go 0-2 and experience the joys of seeing North fans come crashing back down to earth knowing the team they beat last week is utter [censored].

POSTGAME: Rd 02 vs Fremantle
Excellent point. Reminds me of the fragility of human psychology in the investment space. Just look at the newly released (highly anticipated” video game “Crimson Desert” and the developer Pearl Abyss, despite still scoring a pretty good average score of 77, their stock price literally plummeted a good 15% just because it wasn’t a 90+. 77 is still a damn good score, but just because it didn’t meet sky high expectations, investors just panicked and sold, not regarding the fact Pearl Abyss could update the game over time to further improve the game when it launched. There is no way to know how things will play out. Bonds, stocks, property, gold, etc will ALL have their time in the sun. What it does mean however, is markets are typically influenced by human emotion. Even fund asset managers make mistakes on the daily. Investment markets are very predictive, NOT usually indicative. You also have to judge why an asset is down. Is it down because of catastrophic errors by management? A long term change in the business environment, fraud of some sort or any other illegal activity? If so, I will personally just eat the loss and sell. Point being? Looking at last night’s result in its entirety and within context, panicking after yesterday’s result is just lunacy. Also, a massive factor in the loss is we were traveling off a 6 day break playing in back to back matches where heat was over 30 degrees. We owe Carlton big time, so I’m hoping win number 2 comes next week. I’m confident we will bounce back.

POSTGAME: Rd 02 vs Fremantle
Looked every bit like the 24/25 Goodwin slop. Slow, fumbly, handball to nowhere, can’t chain effective possessions together, punished on the turnover with little to no resistance… BUT, I’m willing to cut them a lot of slack. Last we played extremely high tempo in 30 degree heat and again playing in Perth heat a week later. Must come out with better intent against Carlton next week. They are a team we can and probably should beat if round 1 is anything to go by.

GAMEDAY: Rd 02 vs Fremantle
I’m just on my knees praying like hell this laps in concentration and dumb football is just part of the early season yips as players find fitness. We played in 30 degrees last week and again a hot day in Perth a week later with travel. Not worried yet, but if we allow Carlton a similarly fast start, then alarm bells will be going off.

GAMEDAY: Rd 02 vs Fremantle
Patrick Voss is truly a waste of ape seed. For a player who couldn’t hack it at Essendon, being carried at Fremantle, most likely the first to go for Cox if his form dips sure has a lip that just cannot stop yapping. What an absolute [censored].

GAMEDAY: Rd 02 vs Fremantle
Lmao, Patrick Voss. An abortion gone wrong. Should be the poster boy of Durex condoms.

NON-MFC: Round 02
I will never cheer injuries or wish ill will on players, but I can honestly say I feel kinda chuffed seeing him on the bench all iced up. All feelings I have for the bloke is completely dead that any ounce of sympathy I may have had is reduced down to a complete zero. Hopefully it is a lengthy time off.

GAMEDAY: Rd 02 vs Fremantle
Lmao, what is it with fans of sh*t clubs like St Kilda and Fremantle thinking they are leaps and bounds better than us? There is a reason why those sh*t clubs have achieved nothing over the last 20 years They may win and they reserve to be favorites, but Fremantle fans expecting to waltz in and just get the 4 pts will be in for a massive shock. They are perennial chokers for a reason. Their entire fanbase is extremely fragile and not very educated. If we are within reach at 3 quarter time, never mind in front, we can win it.

POSTGAME: Rd 01 vs St. Kilda
That [censored] Mark Bickely said Essendon would win a final and Melbourne the wooden spoon. 😂😂
-
NON-MFC: Round 01
Judas bitched and whinged about our crowds. Now he is playing in front of 4 thousand people against lowly West Coast. 😂😂😂

POSTGAME: Rd 01 vs St. Kilda
[censored] you Andrew Maher, [censored] you Josh Jenkins and [censored] all these other [censored] who were adamant, following the noise like sheep and declared we were certain bottom 4. Also, 1.8 million dollars and 2 million dollars men are 0-2. St Kilda are truly a sh*t club. Even when they spend they still fail. GWS and Brisbane. Finish them! We still have a capable list and what a statement win!
-
NON-MFC: Round 01
Gotta give Carlton fans credit. They are at least smart enough to not celebrate that “win”, but cant say the same for Voss and the players. How could you double fist pump and give high fives like you have just won the Prelim after beating the second worst side in the comp on paper, and only “winning” because Lynch couldn't convert Richmond’s dominance. What a joke of a club.. We should pump this club in 2 weeks time and end this disgusting 3 match losing streak we have against them. If we dominate and get the opportunities Richmond got, Mihochek, Fritsch, Pickett and even a Chandler should cash in handsomely.

PREGAME: Rd 01 vs St. Kilda
Round 1, 2016 vs a highly fancied GWS side and we knocked off. We can do the same to St Kilda, albeit they aren’t as talented as what that GWS side was. The side we have now is still capable of competing. On paper, we should be pushing for finals (7 or 8). All the talk from “experts” about wooden spoons and bottom 4 is [censored] A fit Lever can form a strong core with Turner, McDonald and/or Petty amongst the likes of the emerging Blake Howes and a Salem who can still contribute. Then there’s the midfield. Langford can seriously break out such is his talent and Windsor + Lindsay playing with a lot more freedom and license to just roam. Compound those 3 with Rivers, Pickett, Langdon the reliable Steele, that’s an exciting midfield blend of youth, speed and experience. The forward line is the most interesting part . JVR has shown potential in his first 4 seasons, so he should be gearing up for a big 2026, but a fit Mihochek will help him immensely. Fritsch, Chandler and Sparrow to boot . Not a bad forward setup. The side we rolled out in round 1 2016 is not as talented as the one we will roll out in 6 days time and beat the side that many tipped to make the top 4. I just don’t rate St Kilda at all. We can beat them and beat them well by around 3-4 goals.

PREGAME: Rd 01 vs St. Kilda
$2 million dollar man tagged out of the game by Perryman. 😂😂😂 Saw this a mile away. NWM, Wilkie, Sinclair are top line A graders, but their list overall is just vanilla. Can’t be relying on said players week to week. To call St Kilda flag contenders and how hyped up they were all summer by the media never ceases to surprise. This happened in 2021 after making the pandemic finals series and the same thing is happening again.

NON-MFC: 2026 Opening Round
Honestly, what the [censored] has St Kilda done or achieved to warrant all this hype? NWM- 1 breakout season, albeit a great one. TDK - emerging Silvagni- Overrated. Has never been in AA conversation Max King- Can’t get fit Phillipou- inconsistent, can’t string together good games Owens - Promising, but still yet to fully breakout Wilkie, Sinclair and NWM are genuine A listers, but who else do they have? I just hope Collingwood bring them back down to earth and give a massive reality check. Tonight, I am a Collingwood fan.

NON-MFC: 2026 Opening Round
Judas in a side that has taken 15 years to become good. The Man City of Aussie Rules. Just like how City were absolutely nothing as a club pre 2008, pre Arab oil money, the amount of aid and emergency help Gold Coast received from AFL handouts is nothing short of incompetence. I still don’t rate Man City as a club and I sure as hell do not rate Gold Coast either. If the AFL were the football/soccer model, Gold Coast would have died 5 years into their existence.
-
NON-MFC: 2026 Opening Round
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Carlton fans deserve everything they get. The way those d*ckheads celebrated winning meaningless pre season matches worth ZERO points was embarassing. The best feeling is seeing all hope dissolve right in front of their very eyes after just 1 match. Richmond. Complete the job next week!
-
NON-MFC: 2026 Opening Round
Hopefully Curnow and Swans do a number on Carlton and Collingwood likewise. If given the choice between Collingwood and Geelong never not make finals over the next 10 years over StKilda and Carlton ever seeing success, I’ll take the former. St Kilda and Carlton making a massive thud back down to earth will be absolutely glorious. The pre season commentary surrounding these two clubs has been nauseating. What have they achieved? St Kilda fans deserve their current drought

Vale Dennis Cometti
Was self reflecting as I was taking a shower about the past and how those who we all grew up with are slowly passing away, whether it be a beloved movie/tv star like Robert Carradine or a national sports commentating hero like Dennis Commetti, the past is the past and we won’t ever get it back again. Even playing through Resident Evil: Requiem, the newest game in the series that featured Leon Kennedy, a protagonist who made his debut in the late 90’s, to see him at 51 years of age as a character and thinking about the past and my childhood and how I grew up with this character, it was emotional. We all get 1 life and for the rest of our lives, we wont ever hear or see from Dennis again. Can’t imagine how Bruce is feeling being his long time side kick. This is a loss that I’m feeling quite a bit, tbh..
