NON-MFC: Round 23
Dumb and dumber joining forces. These 2 fanbases deserve each other in all honesty… like 2 peas in a pod. 2 of the most feral fanbases, arguably the most despised in the league calling out other fans. 🤡

PREGAME: Rd 24 vs Collingwood
Although I love to win, we don’t even need to beat the Pies for them to miss the top 4. Just don’t get belted and we’re golden. Gold Coast still have minnow Essendon and Port. Only a 2% gap between them and Collingwood with a game in hand. They should bridge the difference easily and finish on 64pts. Effectively, the Pies top 4 chances are dead.

NON-MFC: Round 23
How many times are Garry Lyon of all people going to keep talking about “disbelief” in the lopsided inside 50 count with Collingwood losing despite dominating? He’s watched Melbourne for years suffering froM such issues weekly and he and Dunstall still rolling around with this [censored]. So, no credit to Adelaide, Collingwood lost it because they were simply inept going inside 50.. 🤡

POSTGAME: Rd 23 vs Hawthorn
Hawks chasing percentage for top 4. We kick the last 3… at least we don’t have to suffer through that and give it back for a change.. 🤪 Some hawks fans are angry. 😂

GAMEDAY: Rd 23 vs Hawthorn
I can live with this. Much rather see the Dogs not make it and Collingwood slip out of top 4. They are the real scalp I want to inflict maximum pain. A Gold Coast, Hawthorn or GWS Elimination final with the injuries they have could see them straight out of finals.

NON-MFC: Round 23
It’s times like these I’m glad I wasn’t indoctrinated as a St Kilda fan. Perennially [censored] club who falter when it matters, deliver late season flourishes, beating bottom 6 teams that isn’t quite enough to see them receive top end picks and then the the cycle of mediocrity repeats season in, season out.. I hope NWM leaves the club and goes to Port. It will devastate them and their fans will have to endure further pain without an end in sight to break the 60+ year drought. Something about that club just rubs me the wrong way.. Mark Fine will have to continue to endure. 🤣😂

Tracca often slow to get started.
Still see Petracca as legitimate captain material, hence why I think he is the next captain of the club. As a Tottenham fan watching Cristian Romero, the newly appointed captain who was heavily rumored to leave, even meeting with Simeone, Atletico Madrid manager, the immense performance he put in against PSG this morning, goes to show that it can turn really quick. Petracca came back from horrific, potential life ending injury and I thought he has performed really solidly all things considering. Statistically, very solid, albeit rough around the edges (ball disposal etc). Another pre season, and I think alongside a new coaching regime, we can see 2020-21 Trac again. Still a legitimate leader of the club.

Roosy's roost
Reminder to Josh Jenkins… Collingwood built a forward line around Mihocek and won a flag and coming from 17th under McRae. Mihocek.. 🤡 Our performance this year has no bearing on what can happen next season and I’m glad someone in the media is speaking with brains for a chance JVR coming into a 5th season, Fritsch can continue his good form, Melksham just doesn’t stop and the defense in general can improve with a few tinkering changes to the midfield. Turner breaking out and May is showing he is still a seriously good player when fit alongside T-Mac who is just getting better with age. I know many see him as captain material, but there is a good chance Lever may be relegated to depth player if everything comes together and we have a fit and healthy list. May or may not play depending on horses for courses.

Knowing how to win
The core group of experience plus a blend of exciting young talent, I really thought we would make the 8 and why I woke up so bitter this morning. We still have what it takes to compete. That Port and St Kilda games especially where we just handed it to them, we win those and we snatch 3 of the aforementioned games above, we are still in contention for the 8. We weren’t beaten, we beat ourselves more often than not. The North Melbourne game is whatever, they outplayed us, but asides from that and credit to them, but we really should have had a far greater win number. I sincerely feel that at our optimum, we are right alongside the likes of the Dogs, GWS and even Collingwood. As long as the next coach isn’t Ken Hinkley, I’m confident we can bounce back really quick. Maybe not a flag, but the top 6 should be a realistic goal.

POSTGAME: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs
COME ON GWS/FREMANTLE! At the ground, carrying on from dogs fans is embarrassing. Smug, arrogant and all round unbearable.

GAMEDAY: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs
Dogs fans think they won the flag. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

GAMEDAY: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs
Naughton celebrating every goal like it’s flag winning. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 We should be cheering for GWS here on out to ensure these [censored] don’t make the 8. I am not as enamored by Bontempelli like most neutral fans to want to see them succeed. If we go down, would love for the Dogs to suffer as well.

GAMEDAY: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs
Getting really sick of seeing that wide forward towards the pocket inside 50 entries. Absolute [censored].

NON-MFC: Round 22
Ross Lyon: “it was an ugly match, horrific skills from both sides” Still can’t fathom how we let this rabble beat us twice in the same season and the fashion in which we lost. St Kilda kicks 3 in the first and 4 thereafter in perfect conditions. Absolute joke.

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
Lmao, who gives an f about Buckley not having coached a flag.. he would have been a premiership coach if it weren’t for that perfect Dom Sheed free kick that resulted in goal. Numbers wise, he’s pretty on par (55-ish% win record) with Goodwin, if not better when you consider how he was only one of a few coaches who would tactically outshine Goodwin during our good runs, hence our horrific record against them. I still remember how they thrashed us in 2018 when we were on that 6-7 match winning streak. He would have learnt a lot and also possesses an aura that would hopefully attract good talent in spite of being homeless without a proper training facility. Good speaker and communicator and his analysis work on Fox is first class. Would be more than happy for Buckley to come in and take the reins.

NON-MFC: Round 22
Please… Can cop a loss this week if the scum miss the 8.. improbable, but actually not entirely Impossible.

Can we talk about Kolt?
I like him. Can’t expect him to create magic in a forward line consistently leading into the pockets and always congested. A lot of Kai Lohmann in him imo. Not the quickest, but he is agile, he can leap and take good pack marks. A bit more baulk over the pre season and he can become a really good small/medium forward pressure player. Asides, first round pick. Worth persisting with.

Nathan Buckley a Dees supporter?
Listening to him on Whately, he called Melbourne a “BIG club with a storied history” which you don’t often hear anymore. Whether he ends up coaching us or not, there is clearly a level of respect he has for the club and spoke really well regarding the Goodwin sacking and the entire club as a whole

Simon Goodwin Sacked
No issues with Langdon whatsoever. He isn’t an AI robotic construct. Of course he will feel disappointed as someone close to Goodwin on the verge of game 200. The media beat up around this is embarrassing. Then you see the podcast segment on SEN titled “is the lack of alignment a red flag for the next coach of Melbourne” 🤡 But, Gawn is right. Goodwin isn’t dead, he is just part and parcel in an industry where if you underperform as head coach of a footy club, you will be shown the door. You quickly move on. I’ve no doubt Gawn is still 100% invested and he will rally the group again to align with the new coach.

What role did Alan Richardson play?
Hinkley seems like he needs a break from coaching, so probably won’t coach for another few years, he is as smart as anyone, so would be a good replacement for Richardson. Him supporting the incoming coach could be something to consider. Just reading between the lines from what we saw at the presser, I get the feeling Richardson threw Goodwin under the bus when they were reporting back to the board. He can’t stay on, surely…

Thank You Simon Goodwin by Demonland
Asides from 2021, 2018 is my favorite season over the last 2 decades and it’s all thanks to Goodwin. Goodwin changed the game numerous times and the way he transformed us into a feared club after decades purgatory. He was the mad scientist tactically trying things like the 3 off the back of the square strategy and I thought he bought the best out of O-Mac and Frost as a pairing when Lever went down with the ACL. Instead of playing them as pure lockdowns, he played them as fairly attacking defenders. While there were frustrations with the high line defense, I thought the 1%ers and rebound we got from the defense overall contributed to being the highest scoring side in 2018. We obviously weren’t great defensively, but considering the names on paper, Goodwin did really well. Took a while to adjust to 6-6-6, but throughout 21-23 we were unbeatable and really, only beat ourselves in the finals. Goodwin literally revolutionized “contest” and the appetite to hunt. It wasn’t pretty, but the results spoke for themselves. People will eventually remember what Goodwin did throughout his reign at the club and will rightfully remember him as a legend of the club.

PREGAME: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs
Imagine if we knockoff the Dogs to end their season and then beating the Pies on the Friday night to end their top 4 hopes. 🙏

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
How did that f*ckwit Josh Jenkins get a job in the media? [censored] player, one of the best cherry pickers the game has ever seen and somehow still holds a job. Not to mention he is a slurrer who can’t string together a sentence. Paraphrasing, but he essentially saying there is no world where he sees a spike with a new coaching set up simply because we have no “big name” forwards.. For what Goodwin had to work with in 2018, to be the highest scoring side with T-Mac and Fritsch essentially being our 2 main targets- hardly “gorillas” is a massive hats off to him. Who’s to say JVR, 5th year, rejuvenated Fritsch, Melksham still playing good footy alongside Chandler in a more pressurized half forward role cannot be just as dangerous as the 2018 forward set up? Jefferson had looked good in parts and can seriously clunk the ball.. Whoever comes in, I would expect Petracca and Pickett in full time midfield roles, who can obviously roll forward and cause a lot of havoc. Honestly, not saying we win the flag, but I can easily see us, with a tactically astute coach return to the top 6. Pies did it after coming 17th and they are notorious for having lackluster forward lines on paper. Mihoeck carried them. F*cking Mihocek. 🤣😂
