The competition is gong one way and we have remained stagnant with an outdated game plan and list build for said outdated game plan. Its infuriating to watch. I really feel for our forwards, they get given no chance to play to their strengths coz Goody is so obsessed with repeat entries and stoppages inside 50 rather than finding multiple ways to score. Fritsch in particular has being killed by Goody.

There was a lot of talk about getting JVR some easy touches during the pre season from Chaplin. Saw zero evidence of them trying to do that this week.

Fritsch is not the best forward of the past 50 years, clearly. But at what stage do we start laying some blame on Goodwin and the horrible forward structure for his form? Hes never been a guy who puts in a maximum effort defensively. Hes our most natural forward who thrives in space and one on ones which he rarely gets anymore.

It was the type of comment where you'd dump that username/account and create a new one to start over with. There is no coming back from it. 😄

A quick google search and I dont think we pre date the Yankees using the overlapping initials at all, the Yankees first used it in 1909. Happy to be corrected.

My point was the late 90s-2000s logo was original which made it awesome.

Hard to believe a guy with the username "BringBackTheDemon" wants the Demon back I know, but: The current logo is a blatant rip off of the Brooklyn Nets and New York Yankees. Cameron Schwab's monstrosity was a blatant rip off of Liverpool. The Flamehead logo is original and epic. Bring it back full time. I will say the current logo is better than "Demon Spirit" though, so unbelievably cringe. You've stuck with this for years now (why??) yet "Give em Hell" only lasted 1 season and that brought us a premiership and is far better for marketing.

As much as I want Goody gone I do agree with the point about who would we replace him with? And even if we could find someone, I wouldnt like to put all the drama surrounding the club right now on a new coach, that would be completely unfair. Let the people in charge of this mess (the coach, the board, the president, the list management manager, the CEO) get it fixed or all go down in flames together next year. Edit: Also, would you trust this board and CEO with a new appointment? I wouldnt. Would much rather let a new CEO and board decide who the next coach would be if we got to that.

You typify everything wrong with this club Wayne, still stuck in 2021 still clinging onto it when it has no relevance to how the team is performing in the now. Who cares how many premiership players we have, where did we finish in 2024?

My point was finishing 8th on a team that finished 14th is hardly proof of any greatness or something to shut any haters up, and I actually dont even hate Chandler, i think hes a good user who would look much better on a team who moved the ball faster. Being a forward for Melbourne is one of the worst jobs in football. If you and others want together excited by BNF finishes for a 14th placed team though youre welcome to do so.

Top 10 for the team that finished 14th is no great flex. How did it work out for Terlich when he finished top 3? Did he become a future captain?

If you view Tom Campbell coming to club is a positive youre really struggling to name 3 things. Get excited about a VFL ruckman Dees fans!

The dysfunction is worse than Neeld years id say. Im not fussed with the compensation, I just want the Oliver saga to be over. The only hope for this club is a complete cleanout next offseason, that could bring some hope and positivity. Next year is absolutely a write off however, but at least Goodwin, Pert and the current board have to endure it and not a first year coach, justice for what they have let happen to the club.
