  1. We were 3rd for scoring in 2021, 6th in 2022, 7th in 2023, and 14th in 2024. When we won the flag it definitely wasn't ugly. You need to be able to score/have multiple ways of winning games, which we havent for the past 3 years.
  2. We got rid of the Demon in our logo for China now they are attempting to silence the one guy who speaks the truth. Cant have anyone disrupting the flow of MFC propaganda.
  3. You say everything I want to say but far better than I could. Hero of this site. Never leave us.
  4. Yeah, we nearly killed him sending him back out on the field, but its Tracs character
  5. The president only appears in front of the camera's when she's got something positive to announce. She'll be staying in her Toorak bunker for the foreseeable future.
  6. So long as there is a clean out along with it, yep, wouldnt be the worst case scenario. When I say clean out I mean total clean out, Id have renewed optimism with a new coach, president, CEO and some sexy picks for Jason Taylor to pick the eyes out of the draft with. Hate losing Trac and sad that it would have to come to this to bring about the change we desperately need, but its better than the "trade first round picks for Dan Houston and still think we can win a flag under a coach who is happy kicking 65 points a game" plan
  7. Each to their own but I dont see it. Would hope Petty is back there (still a gun defender in my eyes and much better than TMac at shutting down a dangerous opponent) and we have a forward solution sorted if Jefferson still hasn't done enough to warrant selection and consistently get a game. Wouldnt mind Wright as our forward ruck, anything that keeps JVR out of the ruck and focussing solely on being our #1 KPF is good with me.
  8. Ive got no issue with offering him a one year deal and keeping him but I think he could get offered more elsewhere given the lack of KPDs like @DeeSpencer said above.
  9. Love a good a yell at the telly! Cant melt properly in public.
  10. I wouldnt be surprised if TMac gets a better deal elsewhere and takes it, also seemed as though Goody had softened a bit on Petty being a forward moving forward, said something like he'd play him as a forward for the rest of the season then see what happens. Different language to earlier in the season when he said we are committed to him playing as a permanent forward.
  11. Thank god im a brand new sadsack to this site and not an old one or id be very upset right now.
  12. We beat Hawthorn, Bulldogs and Port in Adelaide earlier in the year. How did we go vs the Dogs and Port the second time around while playing the style we are apparently more suited to? Predicability kills you, if you dont keep evolving you get left behind.
  13. Had the game on our terms and still didnt win, that was nothing like how Port wanted to play and they beat us. Its amazing how many of these games we lose when the game is on our terms aka low scoring contest defense [censored]. So even for the guys saying I dont care how we win, that doesnt hold up.
  14. So youre happy playing boring football and dragging some finals teams down to our level for some close losses? Close enough is good enough? Personally, [censored] that, id rather us get blown out some weeks by trying to score 100+ points ourselves, play some attacking football rather than this boring predictable death. Straight sets twice into missing the finals completely isnt a premiership profile. It screams teams have figured us out.
  15. I agree, think hes an excellent defender, what I will say about him as a forward is its so hard to judge if he could be decent forward with how we play, I think prime Carey would look ordinary in this system. Cant help but feel we are wasting JVR's breakout years (might end up wasting his career). The use of Fritsch is mind boggling, having him as a stationary contested mark target to slow ball movement and bombs down the wing outside 50 is the last thing you should be doing with him and exactly what the opposition would want. Kozzy should be an all Australian by now and have opposing defenders [censored] themselves every week 1 on 1 inside 50 with some space on the back of quicker ball movement. We rely far too heavily on scrapping goals from pressure as has been proven all year (14th in the league for scoring) . Nothing ever comes easy for our forwards, our F50 is constantly flooded, they get no quick ball movement, not enough space to lead, rare one on ones, horrible delivery from the midfield for the most part. People can say the players love Goody all they like but eventually this boring game plan will drive some of the forward talent we do have on our list away.
  16. This is exactly the sort of thinking that saw us go out in straight sets 2 years in a row and miss the finals this year. Keep doing the same thing and expect a different result. There is a word for that.
  17. My excuse is the game plan is boring as [censored]. Missing finals and wins and losses are irrelevant, if you play an exiting style supporters will turn up.
  18. 6 goals for the year from a guy who is absolutely a forward according to your sharp eye, so then, what does that say about the game plan and therefore the coach being the man? This thread is almost as comical as the Dees fans who think we could attract a big name forward to fix our scoring problems. Why on earth other than A LOT more money than other teams are offering would any decent forward want to come here? Its career suicide.
