POSTGAME: Rd 01 vs GWS
I was very impressed with XL and his debut performance. Very polished, classy, and awesome disposal effeciency given the wet weather. He did something in the last quarter which really stood out to me. He knew he had an opponent on his tail, and instead of just taking possession immediately (almost 90% of current players actually do this) he tapped it beautifully into space, burnt off his opponent gained a few extra metres to allow him to take clear and clean possesion without being tackled instantly.

Kozzy Homesick & Wants to Leave?
Agreed. I think there should be a rule in place. If you elect to go-home to your origin state (outside of free agency of course), you can't nominate a 'club of choice'. It should be up to the club to decide whom you play for based on the best compensation and the highest paid contract. Open market. What club is willing to pay the most and give up the most.

Kozzy Homesick & Wants to Leave?
Makes me sick that if Fremantle end up with Kozzie, they would have had Hayden Young Luke Jackson Kozzie Pickett All from the same draft year, in the same team. 2 of which were so influential for us, that it's hard to stomach.

Welcome to Demonland: Pick 9
Take a breather dude, when did I dispute your list and it's realistic approach? All I said was if this eventuated on draft night, I'd be underwhelmed? AKA hoping for some sliders on draft night?

Welcome to Demonland: Pick 9
I'd be so underwhelmed if this actually happened.

Farewell Alex Neal-Bullen
Not sure how much more I can take of this year. If anything else comes out 'breaking' and a player wants out, think I want out 🫥

Trade Targets
This is my ideal scenario: Draft: - Top 6 pick Trade: - Future first for Waterman and their 3rd rounder - 2nd rounder and Eagles 3rd for Peter Wright (he’s on the outer) - Josh Battle Free agent Summary: In: - Waterman - Peter Wright - Battle - Pick 6 - Eagles 3rd rounder Out - Future first - 2nd rounder - Eagles 3rd rounder

Welcome to Demonland Bailey Laurie
I really like the look of this kid and his evasiveness. Do we expect Laurie to get some game time next year? Would love to see what Bailey could do in a manic forward line feeding off Brown, Fritsch etc. Only way I see him in our side is through injury to Spargo / ANB etc. Thoughts?

GAMEDAY: Rd 12 vs Collingwood
I hope Goodwin tells the team to forget the scoreline and continue to take risks and play attacking football. What we love to do is once we hit a lead, play a game style where we suddenly look to negate instead of trying to score. We hardly kick in the corridor, do switch plays and just play careful footy. We need to ensure we continue playing the same brand for the next half. Please Dees. Don't go into your shells. Keep playing aggressive footy.

GAMEDAY: Rd 12 vs Collingwood
Collingwood are missing Stephenson, DeGoey and Cox. Three players that are at least worth 7-8 goals between them on average against us. Replace this and our back line can mostly just focus on their danger forwards in Miochek and Elliot who we can nullify. No Howe will allow our forwards to thrive and not worry about them dropping back and playing the loose intercept mark. We will be able to get to more contests and bring the ball to ground for our smalls to go to work. If we don't win this by 5+ goals I'll be surprised.

POSTGAME: Rd 10 vs Adelaide
Anyone notice the way Jackson does those cute over the shoulder handballs into space? Whens the last time you've seen a ruckman look so fluid and mobile the way he does. No wonder why we rated him so highly. He's an extra midfielder everytime we play him in the ruck. Will be elite, watch this space.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARLEY BENNELL
Would love to see Harley more as a deep forward option. He has that special ability to read the ball drop and can create goals by quick snaps and moving quickly through traffic. The idea of him and Kozzy crumbing the ball deep in our forward 50 alongside Trac would generate a lot of extra scoring power we usually lack. Harley is capable of kicking 4 goals in a match.

POSTGAME: MS02 vs Hawthorn
I'm very impressed with the way Lockhart goes about it. He has found a new role as a shut down player across half back on dangerous small forwards. He wears his opponent like a sleeve and has great closing speed and smart with his positioning. He also did some very good things with some side steps and getting out of traffic.
