Optimistic about the future, excited to watch our young guys develop. If King’s new gameplan is solid, I think somewhere between 9-14th on the ladder feels about right for next year but if things go really well in terms of injuries and young guys taking a step forward, I could see us competing for 7-8th.

This thread was a lot of fun and (for the most part) lacked a lot of the vitriol that is unfortunately pretty common on Demonland. Wish it had worked out but the inclusion of the 2026 first rounder, plus signing CJ and Steele, makes it all sting a bit less.

I have a special distain for Sam Mitchell and Hawthorn so this is a hilarious outcome.

If we don’t get BH this year, we probably aren’t going to get him at all. Right now we have some leverage with something GC wants, and BH just wants to get back to VIC. Next year we will have nothing GC wants, and BH will probably want to go to any number of bigger, more enticing VIC clubs.
