It reminds me a bit of the Kozzie draft, where Kozzie was rated way out, and Cody Weightman was rated as the number one small. We all know how that turned out.

Feeling pretty good about who Cal has said should be available to us at 7/8: Some of: (maybe) Sharp/Cumming/Farrow (less likely) X. Taylor (even less likely) Robey (or needs) Shubert/Dovaston Surely JT can pick 2 good players out of those. But I'll always assume we try to trade up. We always do.

These frequent early predictions of taking the best tall forward in the draft (Schubert) are very similar to the Jefferson draft. Jefferson was predicted as our pick from day dot. Personally, I think he is much more promising than Jefferson was. He only just made this draft age wise, i think he is less than 2 weeks off being in next years draft. Plus he has said he is still growing. Will be interesting to see if he gets picked by us.

The final deal will see the Demons get picks 7, 8 and 37 this year, Gold Coast's 2026 first-round pick and the Suns' 2027 third-round pick. The Suns will get Petracca, pick 24 and 28 in this year's draft and Melbourne's 2026 second-round pick.

Needed some good news!

I think we will get 14 (and maybe a 3rd) and a F1, for Trac. Not sure about the salary $. Then trade 14 (and maybe the 3rd?) for Flanders. Leaves us with Flanders, Crows F1 and cap space for next year. Oh yeah, and we can Death Ride the Crows all year.

I think Trac will nominate the Crows tomorrow.

This morning on SEN, Cornes said that he had heard a rumour, that Trac was going to announce he was up for trade, in the next few days. He was clear that it was just something he had heard.

He’s worth a top 10 pick this year, unfortunately.
