had to be done
he was their very own Neeld
Now they need to find their very own Peter Jackson, cos i reckon they are in way more trouble than we ever were
Their list is shockingly bad. Wonder what their financial situation is like?
Rumours to be woeful.... serious issues.

Firstly, please merge this into another thread if we have one going.
http://www.melbournefc.com.au/video/2013-10-28/season-review-matt-jones
Really interesting point of view on his year, pretty open and honest.
Do we think Matt Jones is nearly at his football ceiling in 2013? Or could this guy really develop into a weapon for us?
What is he lacking to become B+ or A?
- Speed?
- Outside Skill?
-
Needs to harden up.
Looks soft, and someone name me a player of the Roos era at Sydney who was just as soft?
Schneider? But he hid in a pocket for his career.
-
Their backline better get used to playing with each other by round 1... because our forward line could be potentially verrrrrrrrrrrry potent!
McDonald already has rooeys picture on his dartboard.
Jones has Stevens face tattooed into his fist.
Game on!

Ahh I see now
You missed the point again...
-
The player has to accept the trade and sign the contract.
I think if they refuse, then the trade can't be done...

Easy now.. Don't get your knickers all tied up

GWS should make a stand and take pick two for Shiel and send Adams to the PSD.
It's about principle, people.
Give them a call for us please?
-
Well Shane Savage is off the table now. Off to St Kilda for him and pick 17, Hawthorn gets McEvoy in return.
Thanks Sandra.
CAN THE DEES GET INVOLVED PLEASE... IM BORED!

I wonder what this means for the longer trade... surely that can't get done now?

Facebook rumours belong in the rumour mill... Don't post 'gospel' from any of the facebook groups, they are run by no names...
Give us a quote, then we can say he wants to go to the blues...

Players from successful clubs to build culture didn't work last year. Is Sewell a leader or does he line up behind Hodge, Mitchell, Lewis, Roughhead and the rest of them. I think like Byrnes he could have been on the coat tails of a great midfield. Is there any evidence he can teach a kid how to play? And that's the coaches job anyway, and we have a great coach. Has he any experience working with a young midfield.
I'm Probably harsh, he would probably be our second best mid next year. But I'm not convinced he would be a valuable teacher in terms of culture, coaching and training.
Sewell?
Ever listened to him on 360? Ever looked at his body?
Seems to be one of the best trainers and prepares at hawthorn, and I think wants to go into coaching once he has finished. Can win inside footy 30+ times and consistently stands up in big games. (besides quiet gf this yr)
29, could get 2-3 years out of him in a playing assistant role.

Whats M.Voss doing?
-
I remember reading somewhere Nick Smith rates himself as a midfielder, but way behind the pecking order at the Swans.
The opportunity to be a ball winner at MFC would be an attractive option for him.
Then you have to package it up with another Vic boy, who you could say "Go home and get more $$$"
So that means a Nick Smith + a Hannebery/Rohan/Parker
Hannebery is a pipe dream, Rohan seems to be in favour, but Parker could be replaceable for them with T.Mitchell coming good.
Smith + one of those three would considerably improve our midfield stocks.

Duigan is approaching 30.
Rule him out.
-
I also gather, both from what he said and the statement on our website, that they don't regard Sylvia as a huge loss either...
They aren't going to show that weakness.. betcha Roos understands he is a loss

Wait until Watts is dominating.
The guy could be close to the most arrogant player in the AFL.
And will let people know as soon as he takes the next step.
Can't wait to see it.
