  1. Haha ... Blues supporters are everywhere, maybe even on Demonland 👤🧐 I don't think think the Carlton team that is fielded on Saturday night is necessarily a 'reference point' as it will be missing Walsh, Cerra, McKay McGovern and Silvagni. The Blues managed to get over the Saints with a depleted side last week and that was a spirited win, but the Dees are definitely a much tougher challenge for Carlton. Should be a great match, am looking forward to watching it at the 'G on Saturday night ...
  2. Broken by Carlton last week (just as Port was) 😁
  3. Spotted at Thesaurus Books in Brighton last week.
  4. I bought this recently, haven't got to the 70s & 80s yet ... good reading so far 👍
  5. Generally my Kayo on tv has been ok but when it has played up it usually worked on my phone without problems (using same wi-fi).
  6. Brisbane at the Gabba is best avoided. I would back Melbourne against any other Top 4 opponents at the MCG.
  7. Awesome performance by Petty against Richmond. Need to see him up forward more to make any definitive calls though.

I would say that anslysis today is dated. Harry has been evolving as a footballer over the last few years. I watch all Carlton matches and Harry performs several roles for the Blues this season ... he sometimes pinch hits in the ruck, he is a defensive stopper on the wing and when he goes for a mark in that role he takes the mark 9 times out of 10. I think he has one of the highest contested mark counts in the AFL this season. His general field kicking is actually quite good and he is surprisingly quick for someone of his height. I don't think Carlton have any intention of off loading him. What do the Blues do if Charlie Curnow gets injured? If Geelong were able to make Cameron & Hawkins work last season I think Carlton can make Curnow & McKay work in the future too ...

Not sure how much correlation there is with Harry McKay being out and the Carlton foward line firing again. Jack Martin and David Cunningham both coming back from injury have injected unpredictability, extra aggression and pace for Carlton. Additionally, Jesse Motlop did a stint in the VFL and came back very much improved in terms of foward pressure and is starting to learn the art of being a proper small forward.
  10. Watched Collingwood v Carlton last night, the Blues played better, with more intensity and pressure and the Pies wilted at times. The Blues have knocked off No.1 & No.2 on the ladder convincingly. The wailing and gnashing of teeth from the toothless ones and the nauseating pro Pies media was like a symphony to my ears. Currently flicking between Doggies v GWS and Geelong v Freo on Kayo. GWS are pretty insipid so far. Cats lacklustre too ...
  11. At Marvel Stadium now, the Blues are looking like 4 strong wins on the trot ...
  12. A thrilling win, the Dees definitely showed some real resilience and fight. Could end up being season defining for both clubs. Impressive when you consider no Oliver and no Fritsch! Imagine taking out Neal and Cameron from the Brisbane side.
  13. Agreed. It may just be a tactical change for Brisbane. We may see a Gawn + Grundy tage team against other opponents. Also, Gawn will retire before Grundy. Grundy may well be prudent succession planning for the ruck stocks.
  14. Sam Pang makes the show. Both Sam and Andrew Maher are Carlton supporters so that is why old Blues players get rotation.
  15. Its not far off ... new Glen Huntly station coming soon on the Frankston Line and the new Metro Tunnel should be operational in 2025. Caulfield has awesome train connections, also has trams as well.
  16. The Doggies getting a draw against the Hawks and then missing out on the 8 on percentage to Carlton [one can dream] 🙏😁
  17. 😮 Who uses it then?
  18. The MCG precinct is not going to happen, way too many stakeholders and interested parties there. Caulfield option is a gift from the Gods. MFC should be throwing all their chips in for it otherwise its a life of couchsurfing for a long, long time.
  19. Carlton
  20. Fremantle
  21. Casey is in a population growth area. Any investment in sporting facilities will not be wasted and the community will get benefit out of it. Aren't Melbourne City of the A-League Soccer also setting up new facilities at Casey?
  22. This morning on SEN, Nathan Buckley was saying that the Dees are not a real premiership contender this season and Kane Cornes pulled him up on that and did point out they beat Collingwood recently and he said he is tired of the media disparaging the Demons 😮 Kane thinks the Dees are definitely in contention and can iron out some of their issues in the next 7 rounds ...
  23. Melbourne v Carlton in the Barossa Valley. Could be called the 'Penfolds Challenge Cup'. Loser pays the other clubs cellar tab 🍷😁
  24. Robbie Flower taught me to handball. He came along to a footy clinic at my primary school. Had a soft spot for the Dees ever since.
  25. I agree with your mate ... if MFC have a period of sustained success with several flags, the Dees can move into the territory of support that C'Wood, Carlton, Essendon & Richmond have in time. We are in an another era of very large incoming migration to Melbourne and the Dees can be a beneficiary of that by tapping into new supporters as they have the cache of the 'Melbourne' name and the history of being the origin club of the game.
