  1. Agreed, he doesn't seem to do this normally unless he's already experimented. It was interesting in Rd 1 to see BBB temporarily pop into defence for small moments in the game - might have been something that had already been practice during preseason. Think there was also another player but can't remember who that popped up in a few spots. We seemed much more flexible and attacking against the Dogs. Gus was moved into the midfield at half time too in the Lions game (although that's more likely due to Gawn down and a general reshuffling). Wonder what we'll see against the Swans - probably not much movement. But when Kozzy is back we might begin to see that flexibility again because we'll be slightly less strapped for depth and our backs may be less against the wall.
  2. I don't know about timing but it turns out Lingers had broken 4 ribs (not just bruised as reported). It's likely these were still healing / tender at finals time

    Mum, is that you?

Feels like half the time the people who complain about attendances don't event make the effort to attend themselves :/ Personally I think leading by example (and dragging friends / family / enemies / coworkers into the experience) is more productive!
  5. We were consecutively in the top 4 from 2021 until... this weekend lol
  6. Given these votes are about top performances for the Dees in the past two games... I think BBB should be recognised for getting 4 goals in each game. Sure Harris got intercepts but Brown still did something, which is more than we can say for most players about yesterday's game
  7. Yep, if you ask it for sources for academic or legal responses, it makes up URLs, academic journal articles or legislative sections. Bit of fun for a first draft of emails or general summaries, but the current publicly available model is not near the hype that people keep on giving it. That being said, they've just realised a premium legal model which is being used by PWC. Can't be any worse than PWC's actual lawyers 😂
  8. Stiff for BBB!
  9. Thanks, will watch now. Watches Trac's presser last night and was glad he was honest about how brutal the first 3.75 of the game was
  10. No, I think it's a beautiful sign that you're through and through a Melbourne supporter! Sent from my Samsung, through blurry tears
  11. Laughing about your priorities but wishing you well with your back, Layzie!
  12. Interesting! Thanks for this, have not got the stomach yet to watch Goodwin's presser. Could go some way to explaining midfields' performance overall (although of course we basically lost the plot and forgot our basic skills)
  13. Highlight was signing Grand Old Flag together, roaring away in front of all the Brissy supporters. You're right, it was an excellent bonding experience for all of us who stayed to cheer on! Think going home would have been too depressing without witnessing and willing that turn around on ground. That being said... I'm getting quietly [censored] in the Brissy airport and nearly at my tether for mixed feelings, in part due to some transport stuff around (not Rex but Qantas for those playing along at home) and reading a beautifully, quietly destructive novel. Overall, go dees!!!
  14. Demonstone!!! You really got me with this one. I've potentially come unstuck after the past 24 hours
  15. Glad it's out of an abundance of caution! Hope it goes well 💕 My God, after the events of last night's game, I feel like I have a massive hangover despite not drinking at all...!
  16. If you don't laugh, you'll cry...!
  17. I don't think we need anymore bumps 😂
  18. I took you seriously for a moment and was elated... then my brain kicked in 😂
  19. When analysing how our midfield got smashed, can you discuss the connection between Grundy and the midfielders? I was fairly happy with Grundy's game last week and he seemed to be trying against the Lions. But can't tell if I'm just being overly hopeful
  20. 6 Lever - stellar defense efforts 5 Hunter - worked hard, particularly second half 4 Ben Brown - great goal efforts 3 Bowey - great disposals 2 Fritta - not his best but still helped with 3 goals (but if only some of those behinds had converted!) 1 Brayshaw - bit meh but did some good work in second half Thommo also was solid-ish given his playing profile. But overall the bottom 2 are just slighr advantages over an uninspiring 18 others
  21. And if you go into the custom stats on the AFL app, you can get the turnovers stat. Unfortunately, Clarry had 12 turnovers, the highest in the game (with Petracca and Rayner next, each with 6 turnovers). Surprisingly, Lions had 77 turnovers to our 65. Wonder if that's the impact of after the lights. Of course, Lions might have had more possessions overall (have not counted yet) or the turnovers might have occurred in less damaging places. Edit: also now I think of it, we were being smashed in the midfield so the fact that our midfielder had such a high turnover rate is telling... Viney had 4, Harmes had 4
  22. I was at the game and I'm not sure they showed it on TV but... they flashed up a picture of Gawn looking in pain and alone, in the dark of the change rooms, multiple times. Psychological warfare...
  23. Good old fashioned human skill! Great stuff, DemonWheels!
  24. Brilliant! Did you make this or is it DallE?
  25. Thanks for that, didn't realise it was a Gate 8 entrance!
