I don't think there's any coming back from this now that they've all gone public with it. If Fremantle had convinced him to stay before they definitely won't have now. How ironic would it be if it was that fans post that made Jackson make up his mind. WIthout it I don't think any of his family would've commented publiicly.

Kelsey has also like the quote from Simon Garlick saying that Luke will be a fremantle player for a long time and they don't see any circumstance where that will be a concern. The way that Luke's family are airing their private [censored] so publicly kinda says all you need to know about them to be honest.

Mind you after further digging there is a comment from Kelsey saying "This is ridiculous. We love Perth. We love the club. There isn't a decision to be made. I'm just not going to cop this when someone is speaking out of line."

Brad Hill went west and was back in Melbourne in a couple years though. Hogan and Lobb both ended up back east too.

Made the AA squad in his first season at freo. Down form last year after starting really well but apparently spent a lot of time unsettled with whatever was going on + illness. Looks really good this pre season. i think he’s worth more to us than kozzy tbh

Just listen to the interview Freo's CEO gave yesterday and you can see that there's clearly truth to rumours that he has some pull back to Victoria that is definitely beyond his girlfriend's connections. There's clearly something going on with him in his personal life that they're trying to work through to convince him to stay. That being said I would be very, very surprised if they trade him. And as long as they refuse we should keep that same energy with Kozzy.

The story being legit and the leak coming from us can both be correct. If what you've said is true then this has been bubbling around for a few weeks now. It's no coincidence it leaked when it leaked. Right after Green's comments and during the game where he's getting all buddy with his old teammates. I doubt anything happens here though to be honest. At least not for next year.

I think it absolutely came from us. The timing wasn't a coincidence and apparently Fremantle had a meeting with Jackson a week or so earlier asking him about the noise.

Man that’s a poorly written article. It’s like he was trying to write it up as quickly as possible so no one would get the scoop before him.

Some of you are in deep denial. That interview is like the worst possible version of “contracted player wants trade but can’t openly say it.” him saying he’s contracted doesn’t mean he’s not trying again this year, it literally just means it’s the only thing he can actually say in this situation. Other players have played it much better. Talk about how excited they sure to build and grow with the club/have success etc.

I don't see who that benefits though. Just makes him look very unprofessional. I see Bolton and Narkle have now liked the foxfooty instagram post about this article. So either Kozzy and all his close mates are having a laugh, or he is just trying to say as much as he can publicly without actually saying it to put pressure on the club. I don't think I've ever seen a player this open about trade speculation, especially at this stage of the year. Even Bailey Smith was more towards the end of the year, and he was uncontracted.

From what I've seen, the only teams he follows on sm are Fremantle and Melbourne. Nothing in it. He has liked several Freo posts. Again, nothing in that. He reposted a story of his cousin Isaiah Dudley training on at freo. Again, nothing in that either. But then he's also gone and liked a Fremantle fan page post quoting Twomey saying that he tried to get to fremantle at the end of the trade period. Apparently he also liked a comment on facebook saying something like "Freo are training on Dudley to lure Kozzy to freo" or along the lines of that. That's where the whole social media speculation is coming in, because he's actively feeding into it. You don't like those posts by accident. The way I see it all this is his way of publicly putting pressure on the club to let him go.

Pretty sure Henry was just a matched bid. They took Serong and Young with the picks they had before Kozzy.

Darcy and Jackson on big money. Young with a massive deal. Amiss, Treacy, Cox also all on big money. Serong. Then they go bring in Bolton, going after Warner and Kozzy. And at the same time have a six year deal in front of Brayshaw. Don’t see how they’re affording all of it.

It's pretty obvious where he wants to be. I don't think it's been posted but he liked this post not long ago. Pretty unprofessional behaviour to be doing that knowing it can be publicly seen.

Port is unexpected. You'd think if he was serious about getting it done he would've chosen one of the WA teams who have better picks to work with. Would much rather take WC's future first. Houston aisde, don't Port need picks for Lukosious too?

FWIW I was told that same story about a month ago by one of my freo mates who usually has good info. Story goes that they had caught up and Shai brought up Kozzie joining him at freo. Kozzie's management then contacted freo to gauge their interest but couldn't really commit because of their work on Baker and Warner. No actual trade request was ever put in but I wouldn't rule it out just yet. Don't think we'll trade him even if he does ask though. Same guy also reckons that Freo's Switkowski was going to request a trade here (unrelated to Kozzie stuff) but the Trac stuff gave him cold feet.

If you were really homesick for a couple places you would probably spend your time off in the place you will be less likely to get to during the season.

They lost Darcy for 2 and a half quarters, meaning they also lost Jackson from the forward line. On top of that their leading goalkicker going into this game in Walters was also out. It's not a positive that bringing in our two injured players would get us over the line vs another team missing two key players.
