  1. So I guess we'll be dealing with this many more times throughout the year... https://www.afl.com.au/news/1320541/contract-calls-loom-for-stars-don-keen-to-play-on-wafl-forward-on-msd-radar
  2. Im sure it will continue to be a distraction wherever he is to be honest. There’s no way we get him without giving up Kozzy, and if Kozzy doesn’t want to leave then Freo have no incentive to trade him to us. I’d much rather keep Kozzy
  3. Hey not my fault his family aired everything out publicly
  4. If he had made that decision by himself then you could say that. Making that decision after dating a girl 10 years his senior for a few months says otherwise though. Cutting off parents is one thing, but when it extends to literally everyone he knew in WA I think it's a bit more concerning. I find it hard to believe that all of a sudden he's realised that everyone he's been close with since he was a child is actually an awful person. You'd surely think he'd have at least a couple people on his side. Either way, it now seems almost inevitable that we're going to swap him for Kozzy so I just hope that off field stuff doesn't become a distraction.
  5. Don't think it matters to him anymore 🤣
  6. I can't see a way this happens without Pickett being involved. We don't have anything to give them.
  7. It could be good now because it leads him back to us, but I think it says more about the type of person he is. The fact that he was influenced by his family and friends to move back to Perth, then within 5 months of dating this girl has been influenced to cut off all ties with almost all his friends/family in WA says that he doesn't really think for himself and we could find ourselves in a similar situation again. And on the other side of things how well can he really play when he has all these off field issues going on in the background? I don't think they'll suddenly dissappear just because he's moved across the country.
  8. All I get from this is that he's very easily influenced. I'm sure there's a situation where we trade for him and breaks up with his girlfriend and then all of a sudden makes amends with his family and wants to go home. It looks like the deal is getting done though. Interesting after AFL.com.au reported he wanted to sign an extension but apparently things have escalated since. I'm not happy about it cos it means we'll lose Kozzy for nothing and get Jackson back for him who we don't really need considering Max is still the best in the comp.
  9. They should be careful. Apparently LJ has cut off all of his previous childhood best friends.
  10. That's just not true. Jackson, as ruck/kpp, contracted for two years longer on top of that (maybe even more with an automatic trigger) is easily worth more than Kozzy. We would have to send away Kozzy AND extra on top of that if we wanted Jackson back. Dockers have no other ruck with Darcy always injured. There's zero chance they do a straight swap. I'd honestly rather keep Kozzy and try again for Jackson in a few years if he's still keen.
  11. Yeah regardless of how real him wanting to come back is he's basically trapped there. Darcy is fully cooked now. No way they trade him for anything. Don't even think they'd be that desperate for Kozzy anymore.
  12. Looking at their line up for tonight I wonder if we'll see him playing as a midfielder.
  13. Seems downright impossible if he hits his triggers though. Contracted till 2031 would make him worth more than Kozzie. Apparently Michael Frederick might be on the out if they lure Kozzie home. I think he'd be worth a look. Super fast, great overhead, and great shot at goal. Think he can be a much better player than he is on the dockers. They don't use him well enough.
  14. Nah a lot played out very publicly in a Facebook comment section that made it clear that he’s definitely got reason for going back here. Look at the pics for his 100th game. Only one family member there. For a guy who moved back for family. Whatever those issues are though apparently he loves Freo enough that he’s willing to overlook them to stay at the club. he has triggers that will take him to 2031 and apparently now his management is trying to get an extra two on top of that. but the issues are very much real and there’s still a lot of time left until the end of the season….
  15. I don't think Warner was ever going to choose Freo over WC. Don't think Freo had the money. But they still would've put all their attention into him meaning Kozzie would've been more unlikely. If Bolton hadn't popped up at the end of last year Kozzie would be in purple already. Only thing stopping them now would be if a bigger fish feigns interest. Realistically if there's any year to trade him it would be this year imo. At least then we get at least two first round picks unaffected by Tassie. Wait a year or two and the value of those picks will just get worse and worse (and let's be real, we're not doing anything in the next two years anyway). They have guys on their list that would be of interest though. Murphy Reid is one who will likely end up in Victoria after his initial contract is up. May as well try and pry him out earlier. There was definitely truth to Jackson wanting to come home but all the latest on that was that they were working on a two year extension with him so that's looking unlikely.
  16. That was as good a job interview as you've ever seen 🤣
  17. Pickets manager is the same as Bolton’s, who also denied that Bolton was requesting a trade up until the very moment Richmond made it official that he had requested a trade. I won’t buy any talk from him.
  18. So he’s contracted to 2029 but likely till 2031 with triggers, and now they want to add another two years on top of that??? His manager has obviously done well conning Freo but if anyone saw that comment section of the Facebook post you’d know there was a real story here and a real pull to get out of WA.
  19. Tbf if we’re going by her social media activity she also has explicitly denied that they have any interest in moving. still a long time till October. Shouldn’t rule out anything
  20. Goooooonnnneee
  21. That’s graphic had every one fooled. He actually said “I am not leaving next year.” And he was right. He didn’t leave the next year.
  22. When they cave to his demands and run out of cap space for Kozzy >>>>>>>>>>>>
  23. Luke recently switched management to Corporate Sports Australia. And if you want to believe the freo supportes on bigfooty then they're the reason so many players have left the club in recent times lol. Apparently almost all of the players that left them over the last few years have been managed by CSA. They know how to get their clients the $$$.
  24. lol now apparently he’s interested in extending his contract with Fremantle?? looks like they’re getting the story all cleaned up on their end before he fronts the media today https://www.afl.com.au/news/1281928/fremantle-ruck-luke-jackson-open-to-extending-his-contract-with-dockers-amid-lure-of-victorian-rivals
  25. Yet they’ve somehow managed to Lock in all the good vic blokes for long term deals. Josh Treacy would’ve been nice to have
