  1. I saw an article from their list manager about lobb yesterday. Basically said "if you're so desperate to get to Vic there's 9 other clubs stop pushing them away" I have a feeling if dogs don't budge they'll force him to explore his options and find another club that will pay more. Interestingly also said that there was actually no offer made from GWS last year so that trade request wasn't actually real.
  2. My favourite is Lloyd Meek. 24 year old who's been on the list for 5 years and has played 15 games and they're not letting him go for anything less than a second rounder.
  3. Yeah I don't. It's all for show I reckon. If he really was happy to go to west coast we would have offers from them by now. Instead all we have is the WC list manager more or less saying they're still trying (and failing) to convince LJ to join them, hence why no offer has been made.
  4. Lobb is not a top 20 pick at all. But if you're a team with a dog**** forward line and you feel like you can still challenge next year then you're better of keeping him unless you're get a first rounder back. They've got teenagers in Treacy and Amiss as their only other KPFs so Lobb staying lets them develop another year without having to play on the best defender. I actually think Lobb would be perfect for us for the next few years. Definitely think we're a better chance with him than Grundy. I think there is close to zero chance they accept anything less than a first rounder for him.
  5. Where is the 19 coming from? They already have 13, F1, and 20ish next year. If they wanted to offer that they already would. Don't think this will be dependent on the Lobb trade at all.
  6. Well I mean if the current offer for Lobb is only pick 30 then how would that help us at all? Dogs have pick 11 and 30. They're not gonna give 11 for lobb. Don't see how there's anyway freo can get the Lobb deal done until dunkley is done.
  7. Because they know anything they get from that deal will go straight to us. And also bc dogs only offered 30 for him so they'd rather keep him another year.
  8. Still waiting for WC to make an offer. Lamb said he was going to have meetings with WC a couple days ago and no potential offer has come out of that. Even the proposed pick splits (2 --> 8 and ports F1) don't seem to help us at all.
  9. Only 15 for a b&f winner who is in his prime is just pure disrespect lol. And then trading it away for a few seconds. They're not even trying.
  10. Wc will still have pick 2 in the psd
  11. Only think making me feel slightly better about these negotiations so far is that dogs are getting shafted so much worse. 26 year old who just won their b&f and Brisbane aren't even offering a first for him.
  12. Even if he needs to stay in WA and doesn't play a single game for them, they're still going to be turning a nothing pick into at least one first rounder.
  13. Just on that - the future 2 is right after Norths pick. So the highest it could be is pick 20. NM would still have 19 if they finished bottom.
  14. Plenty of outgoing players too. Surely they could've factored this deal in when they were making their other trades? Instead the only thing of note they have from three players leaving is Norths PP2nd
  15. Weird that their GM is in charge of trades is it not?
  16. I'm an eternal pessimist. If I convince myself and everyone that we'll get screwed in this deal then I'm sure I'll be happier with what the actual deal ends up being. It's a good way to live life.
  17. Also does anyone know if Bell is in charge of their list management when it comes to the actual trades? Because he's not their actual list manager is he.
  18. From what I've heard it was true at the time, but they had just lost Lachie Neale and bell had been doing the job for about 2 weeks so there was pressure from the CEO and coach to get their "big fish" so Bell went back.
  19. West coast haven't made an offer yet because LJ doesn't want to go there (as it stands, they've literally said it in their own words), and all parties know that.
  20. Yeah they won't accept that. They've already made their agenda very clear to the media. Essentially their standing on "no player has ever been traded for 2+ firsts without something coming back". No way they add a pick 20 just to get back something like pick 50
  21. No way its those three picks without AT LEAST our F2 and F3 next year going back.
  22. Him only signing 1 year after his initial contract was a red flag. Almost all draftees sign 2.
  23. That's the thing. We've got nothing to stand on here. WC haven't put up an offer to us, they haven't even convined LJ to join them. If this trade gets done it's going to be us who cave, because we're not going to let him walk to the PSD for nothing. Everyone knew he wanted to go home last year. He should have requested his trade then right after his grand final performance where his value was at its highest. Fremanlte had pick 6, 8, and 19 last year.
  24. We could've held Hogan to his contract though so it's different. There was an element of us wanting to get rid of him.
  25. I'll be honest it sounds like bs. No one, not even fremantle, can afford 1.5mil a year.
