  1. Logue was really good in that first game against us, but from what I saw in the finals he was pretty useless. They had a second gamer come in after missing the entire year with a kidney laceration and even he outplayed Logue.
  2. Was still probably 1 or 2 for clearances though. Unless fyfe returns back to form (doubt it) then they're replacing 370 games with a teenager
  3. In terms of personnel I don't think anyone except lobb leaving will have a big impact. They trade him and I cannot see anyway in which they finish top 8. Acres is replaceable and Logue was playing up fwd in a role that I think can be easily covered. I just think their game plan was figured out on the second half of the season and that's gonna be where they fall down the ladder.
  4. Thing is LJ was at peak value at this time last year. He had just won the rising star and played well in a grand final win. We could've gotten cerra AND around pick 8 from freo with maybe a second rounder going back there way. Cerra, 8 --> Jackson, second rounder
  5. From The Age. "Freo will be inclined to add a future second-round pick to the two first-round picks if they get a selection back from Melbourne, such as Essendon’s future third they receive for Weideman, or the Bedford pick." So will probably be something like 13, F1, F2(freo) --> Jackson, Bedford pick and/or F3
  6. Apparently expected to go through after weids trade
  7. Apparently they're not keen on using him as a forward but more so as a big bodied mid/ruck hybrid. A deal will get done. We won't like it. It will get done though.
  8. Yeah I'm almlost certain their F1 will be that top 10 pick we want.
  9. Is this about him being photographed out and about with sean darcy? As far as I can tell everything else he's done has been professional.
  10. He's signed until 2027 and freo don't let their contracted players go easily. They would almost certainly hold him to every year of that contract unless they could get like 3 top 5 picks or something crazy like that. I'll never forget pick 2 for Lachie weller
  11. In both situations though the player is out of contract, so they'll be paying unders. I think 13 and F1 will be close to the actual deal. I know it's unders, but it will likely be evened up with some later pick swaps (NMF2 maybe involved). 15, 16 (F1) --> dunkley, 30, 35, 43 (F3) is just plain insulting and so far from where they need to be for a 26yo who just won the clubs b&f. And then throwing away that pick 15 and still expecting the deal to get done is just pure arrogance. Dogs only lose out on pick 15-18 if they let him walk to the PSD. In that case I can see them doing it. We let LJ walk to the PSD then we're missing out on 13 and a potential top 10 pick (I expect freo to fall next season). That's a situation where you take the unders offered.
  12. If we get a top 10 pick it'll be our own doing using the picks they give us.
  13. Do we know for a fact that LJ hasn't toured WC facilities? Or has it just not been reported.
  14. Wonder how much Grundy would be impacting this trade getting done. We'd want to get Grundy done before hand because otherwise Collingwood will want whatever we get from LJ.
  15. There's definiteley some element of him wanting to leave on good terms, but at the end of the day, if a deal breaks down between clubs, he's choosing himself over his ex employer.
  16. Yeah I don't listen to trade radio. Articles from the west that are usually well connected to freo have said that they aren't offering that pick. Every article for the last couple days has said we are after that pick. If it has been offered we would have taken it Lobb will get traded, but not before they get Jackson, and definitely not before dunkley gets traded.
  17. All the reports have said that freo haven't budged on their initial offer, and are refusing to put NM F2 on the table. They're not going to bend over backwards to satsify us. He either goes to fremantle for 13 and F1, or goes to west coast in the PSD. Those are our two options at this point until WC actually make us an offer. Talks of a four way trade that would net them 8 and 12. Maybe we'll finally see an offer from them after that trade has been done. Fremantle won't trade Lobb (or Meek) until Jackson is locked away. Talks of 13, 13, 20, and 29 is wishful thinking. Talks of WC offering their future first is also wishful thinking. We're probably looking at 13, F1 from freo or 8, F2 from west coast at this point.
  18. 12, 20, 23, 26 13, 13, 20 fairly similar i'd say.
  19. I think it's more so they're working on making Jackson interested in them.
  20. I doubt they'd give up their f1. But is 8 and 23 more compelling than 13 and 13?
  21. Freo traded their pick 10 and Adelaide's second (f2?) for pick 8. So at the end of the day they ended up giving us two second round picks and langdon for a two point upgrade.
  22. Lobb at this stage is getting them pick 30. That's essentially their F2. It doesn't open up anything. Lobb only becomes relevant when dogs trade dunkley.
  23. They sent a second back too iirc? There was some deal that year from us that essentially gave them both young and serong. Let them get two picks in before a henry bid. Serong would've been playing for Carlton otherwise. They should be thanking us.
  24. What did we give for langdon? He was ooc and had two consecutive top 5 finishes in their b&f. If it was unders I'm sure they're bringing it up as a reference point.
