Good question alpha. I've been trying all year to find the rules that govern the operation of VFL comp. Would be interested to hear.

It was a good atmosphere at the Frankston ground this year. The locals were vocal and good fun...but I stood on other side.

Shame the VFL game isn't a curtain raiser.

I like to give umpires the benefit of the doubt...difficult game to umpire...but that Langdon incident was so clear cut, prolonged and umsportsman like...well, what do you say. And ratbag imbeciles seem to see some amusement.

I don't think anyone will be flying back from Perth for the Casey game. The first Virgin flight leaves Perth at 6:00 am arriving 11.35. Casey starts at 1.05 pm at Casey. So even if things went clockwork..too tight. Peter Hudson not there so no helicopter.!!! There is a Jetstar flight leaving at 1:40 am, but I doubt if they would use that ?

Deezone suggested I comment further on Bell. Bell played for Sandy dragons and Vic Metro and was taken pick 5 in the 2019 rookie draft by st Kilda. Didn't get a senior game and was delisted. Picked up by Casey for the 2021 covid season debacle. 202cm. Don't know his weight but no Mick Nolan.

I wouldn't be too critical of bell. Yes, he can be clumsy but not uncommon with his height. I think continual improvement is happening and I don't think you can fault his application. He is not AFL standard yet, but may be in future imo.

I wouldn't worry about rain too much...if there is some, should be light. Radar looks optimistic.

There is parking at ground carpark plus neighbouring streets. Also, very close to train station.

I wouldn't assume too many would make the trip from halls creek to Alice...it's over 2,000 km. I actually thought he was from Fitzroy crossing...that's another 400. But it would still be great. I wish him well.

Not often Casey has neither Bedford or Chandler. Hardest games will be the last 2 of the home and away, Brisbane and Carlton.

A lot of champions have come from lower than pick 36. Lot of champs off rookie list as well !

Stats at VFL level should be seen as provisional. You get a few missed and misallocated. They get revised the next day or so, I believe.

What is the difference between primary and development list? Good to see so many of the boys have had a run so far.
