  1. no, those tickets that were identified by ticketek went on sale two weeks ago and could only be accessed with a Melbourne member barcode (essentially to allow GA members who missed out to buy a reserved seat amongst our reserved seat members. In theory there will be no Collingwood in the tridents/Redlegs/demon seats plus areas unless a Melbourne member brings a Collingwood guest.
  2. put your barcode in ticketek in general public and click melbourne allocation. Youll be able to get 4 single seats near each other
  3. Idk OCD probably. Those seats are now gone though :)
  4. 100 seats have just gone on sale in bay Q32 rows CC-FF, looks like another case of someone forgetting to put them on sale or Collingwood giving back member allocations in the ponsford
  5. Thank you, greatly appreciated, I spend far too much time of my life obsessing over weird things. i agree that the atmosphere is far more pro Melbourne but I come from the AFL reserve where the atmosphere is full of hostile barracking and I am one of the few Melbourne supporters in there that that stick up for us. Unfortunately the MCC wouldn’t appreciated my shouting so I stick to the southern stand with all the ferals like me :)
  6. I think the simplest solution to stop fights is to bad drinking in standing areas where it seems to get the most rowdy as well as having dry bays around the ground. Would also help if mcg staff policed people who are being abusive properly
  7. 42 is 50 year members bay and they are silent anyway and 46 is committee who are silent too. 37-40 is dining bays. So really only 43,44,45 and 47 who can drink. All they can have is mid strength in cups. i have sat in the mcc twice for Melbourne games and the atmosphere sucks one being Anzac eve last year. It’s dead and quiet and is the reason our crowd seems so quiet compared to other Melbourne sides. personally prefer the zoo of the afl reserve.
  8. There are heaps of dry bays in the mcc?? N41, n48, m45 q42-q45 rows a-f are all alcohols free. standing room behind punt road is also going to be dry on Monday
  9. I’ll be doing a perusal of the level 2a tridents and redlegs and see if any of us are missing teeth or shoes
  10. Well my reserved seats are being given to Melbourne supporters (I assume so given his grandfather is a multiple Brownlow medal winner for the club). I am in the afl so more of us can go together. funnily enough all my friends go for Richmond and Carlton which I sometimes think is worse.
  11. the problem is that Melbourne reserved seat holders give it to their Collingwood mates - they simply show the ticket and MCG staff don't give a rat's backside to do anything. This year i am hoping that because 95%+ of our reserved seat members are going to be attending and reserved seats that arent purchased that are currently being sold require a Melbourne GA member's barcode to be purchased will result in no Collingwood supporters in them.
  12. Unused Corporate allocations, Corporate boxes arent full, dining rooms arent all full, reserved seat areas arent full, extra standing room for the grand final all contribute. The 95K on Anzac Day this year is about the biggest non-PF/GF crowd you will ever see.
  13. I’ll be in the afl members too, 4 dees in P25, probably 110 of the 120 people in the bay will be black and white but ah well we going to be loud and obnoxious. Helps when you go with a couple of 6,4 blokes
  14. This argument I don’t understand. The opposition supporters should have no bearing on whether you got to games. Upgrade your seat on Ticketek and you will be in one of the Melbourne only bays in m50-m54 or m13-m16 or p1-p15. There are currently 102 single seats available and there will be no Collingwood supporters near you. We need all the support we can get this week.
  15. It’s an obsession I can’t help myself, I think I even broken the Ticketek app on my phone rip
  16. The problem we have had against Collingwood in the past is that most of level 1 ends up being reserved seating and for whatever reason the sound from level 1 sounds best at the ground and is also closest to the broadcasters microphones, so it has always sounded far more pro Collingwood. this year we have an additional 4 bays of Melbourne only reserved seating on level 1 and these seats were snapped up within three days of being put on sale. There is this misconception by pessimist like Old Dee that there are going to be 70,000 Collingwood supporters on Monday and 15,000 of us. This is [censored]. We have approx 13k reserved seating areas which will be full, the MCC will be 75% Melbourne (approx 16k) plus around 30% of reserved seating will be bought by us (aligned with Anzac eve). This excludes the minimal support we have in the afl reserve and the small amount of GA areas that people have purchased tickets to. by my reckoning there will be at least 35k Melbourne support on the day hopefully judging 40k. Yes there will still be more of them and they are a hell of a lot louder, but we will still turn up. We haven’t had a QB home game at the g for 5 years too.
  17. No they didn’t, it wasn’t even close. 50k was perfectly acceptable on a cold Friday night with two teams in [censored] form. (12k above our average against Carlton since 1997) Our fan base is very quiet as always but the entire northern stand was red, it just doesn’t seem that way on tv.
  18. What they are saying in Demonland: • this is the week Harry kicks straight isn’t it. feels like this is one of the most negatively built up games from both supporter bases.
  19. I tend to agree with the people saying that if we lose to Carlton there will be a large drop off which I think will only affect MCC walk up areas. People that have paid for reserved seats are still likely to go and I think our Reserved seat areas will be over 90% full regardless. One thing that is forgotten is that Melbourne hasn't had a Queen/King's birthday home game at the MCG since 2018. I think it will end up around 84,000 but could be as low as 75 and high as 88.
  20. No, I am of the sack goodwin and yze brigade and that this list isn’t good enough to win a flag. Doesnt stop me from attending 21 games this year tho and barracking my heart out for the club. You’re go to is to say you don’t want to go to games because something is always too difficult
  21. Because you just breathe negativity, not sure I’ve ever seen you say anything nice about football or our club. Maybe you are a closet rugby lover.
  22. 4th v 10th is hardly two top 4 teams. 29K against Fremantle for us is great, especially when richmond got 30K against Port with 30,000 more members.
  23. Melbourne reserved areas in the GSS are M13-M16 so you wont be too far away. Probably a 70:30 split in M10 Collingwood's way, similar to Anzac Eve. There are going to be lots of us there, dont think it will be 70K of them. Expecting 40K of us and 45K of them with the rest neutrals.
