  1. Ultimately we'll have to take 13 + F1st if WC can't bid Freo up to improve it. I wouldn't force LJ to the PSD to make a point if that's the final offer, I'd take it and move on.
  2. Yes but he's probably not getting to Geelong via the PSD.
  3. They'll have to give something decent back to GC for 7 + Bowes - probably F1st. Then what are they using for Bruhn and Henry? Will take 18 and ? I don't think they're getting Henry done, that sounds like it's being driven by Henry more than the Cats and Collingwood want to keep him.
  4. 13 + F1st + North's F2nd for Jackson + our F2nd + Brisbane's F2nd (from GWS for Toby). That would be similar to the Jeremy Cameron trade. Edit: that can't happen because I got the GWS - Brisbane swap around the wrong way. But maybe we can get something for Toby to make this work, e.g. Richmond's 31 via the Hopper trade.
  5. Got the GWS - Brisbane swap around the wrong way, ignore me ...
  6. I think GWS want to keep that pick. If they split the draft over 2 nights the bidding for 19 can become a frenzy if players "slide". It's worth a lot more than 20.
  7. 19 is a valuable pick on draft night.
  8. Agree. Dogs probably don't like this trade.
  9. Yes but the trade for 27 shows it's not about the points. It's about the result.
  10. Even if he wants to leave. He's in contract. If he's desperate to go, he can go at the end of next year. I don't think he is. I think he'll play AFL games for us next year and if luck falls against us with Max or Brodie, maybe plenty.
  11. I think 21 is fair for Collingwood. 27 is light on.
  12. No he's ruck depth now and he'll play if Max or Brodie miss. He's a must keep IMO.
  13. Reading the hypothetical trades here I think people are going to be very disappointed with the final outcome - WC 2 and F1st - you cannot be serious! Jackson and OUR F1st for 2 and 26 is more likely than that. Maybe we could convert our F1st into a late 1st this year to keep WC in this year's 1st round. I know it doesn't sound fair when we're losing a pick 3 who has shown the goods and two teams are competing for his services, but that's the way it is when players want out. The Lever trade is the benchmark.
  14. I agree that value sounds right. Lamb said we're only taking 2 ND selections and we need one for Grundy. We only have 27 now which in some form goes for Grundy. So I guess we could use the 1st we get from Freo plus 30 for the picks.
  15. Contracts probably similar, both 3rd round compo. Honestly this isn't the kind of thing that gets me worked up ...
  16. Pick 43 is useless based on our trade with Port. Maybe we could use 43 + 27 to inch higher for the Grundy deal, or maybe GWS could do 21 for Bedford + 27. Or maybe a future 3rd.
  17. Almost as bad as Buddy and Frawley ...
  18. If WC could do 2 for 5 & 7 with GC, I'd be happy to take 5 & 26 or 7 & 20 for Jackson.
  19. Brisbane get 35 (522pts) as compensation for McStay, I bet they were hoping for end of first round 19 (942pts) for points.
  20. It's hard to go to the trade and draft at the the same time unless there's a FA you want. Look at Richmond, they're going to wipe out two drafts for Taranto and Hopper.
  21. And JVR and Blake Howes.
  22. WC are just saying this to keep the PSD threat live.
  23. I bet you one billion dollars Jackson doesn't end up at North. It's simply not in play.
  24. Cal and Riley are worth listening to on Trade Exchange at noon if you can put up with the Ads.
  25. I've got F2nd + Bedford to GWS for 21 in my daydreams ....
