  1. I can see another poll coming up, with what occupation do we associate BoBo (when you pronounce that, is it like Yogi Bears friend?). I'll start; a/ Evangelist? b/ School teacher? c/ Social worker? d/ Collingwood troll? e/ University professor? f/ Movie critic? Apologies to anyone that fits into the above categories that I've offended, it was only my intention to mock BoBo.
  2. I told you, you haven't been here long enough. For a small bit of insight look at my avatar. Just for fun I'll reply a bit more to you.
  3. Oh, hit a nerve did I? For your info I was being SERIOUS. You are obviously new here, ask any of the longer term people. Start with Binman, you are encroaching on my soapbox and I won't stand for it!!
  4. Why have you dragged Picket into this?
  5. Heh, heh, I'm the resident "holier than thou" poster on here.
  6. So you're in the camp that believes Maynard's act was an accident?
  7. Actually that's an interesting observation. It got me wondering and thankfully it didn't come to this but if Gus had died because of this incident would Maynard be charged with manslaughter? Never mind class actions, scum like Maynard might need to look at what the ultimate ramifications could be.
  8. I think we need to start a poll. Did anyone here genuinely think there would be a different outcome tonight? I spoke to a number of Collingwood acquaintances during the week (I don't call any of the mates anymore) and said I was 100% sure he would get off. After all, the AFL and Collingwood have prior form. I just realized, was there a book being run on this? I don't think sports bet would have been up for it.
  9. For anyone who doesn't know, I'm amazed but also in awe that Gus's teammates are trying to put him in the recovery position which is classic management for an unconscious patient. The only thing they have potentially neglected is management of his head. I said potentially as I only have this still photo to go off.
  10. Grundy is going to get a chance to show how valuable he is. JVR will get at least a week and maybe more. JJ is now a must to come in as well.
  11. Probably the goal umpire and the Arc and I'm only a little joking.
  12. I'm starting to understand why you are so prone to SHOUTING!
  13. Fair enough
  14. I do like your thoughts on the game Dazzle but you can be selective in your replies. I did say it depends on the conditions and the match ups. You know that there is a spot open so you know it's probably a choice of Tmac or Grundy. If they play Cox and another pure ruck then I could see the "possibility" of Grundy being picked. Unlike you, my learned colleague, I'm just saying I could see the possibility not the probability. The major part of my post was questioning why can't we/should we kick the can down the road and hold on to Grundy for one more year?
  15. While I don't completely agree with NC I could see Grundy playing a role next Thursday if the match ups and weather conditions suited. The big question is, how much does Grundy want out? Why can't we kick this can down the road for one more season? Goody has admitted that it hasn't worked 100% as envisioned but also said that parts of the plan have. We signed him to a 5yr deal. Would he be any less attractive an option to another team in 12mths time?
  16. There have been times where I've heard people bang on about "we should have taken/chased such and such player" and said people have played up those players skills/physical attributes. I've been grateful that we have looked beyond that and also sort players who exhibit character and intelligence. For there is resilience and strength in players like Trac beyond skills/physical attributes. Yes, the skills/physical attributes are a must but when you're in the trenches give me a player full of character and determination and combine that with someone who knows there fears but can perform regardless and you have a receipt for a team of of great players. Trac in this interview exhibits all the qualities of a leader that you want up and coming players to emulate.
  17. A testament to the player but also says a lot about the coaching/development and recruitment team.
  18. Regardless, the word intellects should should never be used in relation to Collingwood supports, faux or not. Although I can see how some of them might think it is a compliment.
  19. I've suggested we need to wrap them all in cotton wool. I spoke to Scott after the Hawthorn game, I don't think I'll mention his "injury".
  20. He could of got things confused with Momma Fritsch's fracture.
  21. While I'm not really against the idea, did you actually watch his game? I thought he looked really fit and hungry. He may well surprise a few. He started to remind me of Tex Walker, we can only hope.
  22. Is this because you have had your head stuck somewhere?
  23. I know we've missed him and it's good to know the Club has been busy cloning him while in rehab.
  24. So you're just leading him on, shame on you fence.
  25. You two need to get a room. Apology to WCW, I hadn't seen her comment when I posted the above.
