What’s your favourite GOAL from the Grand Final?
Been mentioned a lot already but Clarry's goal might be the single most hype moment in MFC history. The last of 3 goals within the last minute of the 3rd. The visual of watching Jackson, Viney and Clarry stream towards goal unimpeded like a red and blue tidal wave. The pinpoint handball from the future of the club, to the present. The full-speed shot on goal that sails directly over the goal umpire's hat. The slow-mo point from Clarry and the elation of Dogga and Sparrow trying to catch him - what an iconic piece of vision. The burial of 57 years of history, and probably the apex of one of the most dominant periods in any football game. And the cherry on top, the shot of Treloar and English in the centre square looking like they've been slapped across the face with a dead fish, unable to comprehend what the F is happening. What an incredible moment from an incredible game.

POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
I still just cannot believe how dominant we were to close out the game. To score 100-7 in the last 1.5 quarters is basically unheard of regardless of team and scenario, let alone in a GF. To compare I thought of the most outrageous scoreline I can think of, which of course is the horrible 186 game vs Geelong 2011. At half time in that game, the scoreline was 20.4.124 to 1.4.10 - we outscored the Dogs at a similar rate to one of the worst defeats in modern history, and in the Grand Final no less. And starting from 3 goals down at a crucial point in the match. It just gets more and more incredible the more you think about it.

Bayley Fritsch 5-year deal
Pay-Day for Bay-Bay. Deserves it, hopefully his form from this year is a stepping stone for the years ahead, what a gun.

Grand Final Celebration at the G
Can't wait, I'm sure it will be a fantastic day for all! If they can also replicate the GF day weather from Perth, that would be great.

The Premiership feeling
Me too, that was the moment that I thought we were cooked. Just couldn't get our hands on it. Next thing you know, Fritsch finally kicks that settler, and what followed was the most dominant stretch of play I think I've ever witnessed. That third quarter just doesn't get old.

2021 Player Reviews: #6 Luke Jackson
The best part about all his talent and potential is how grounded he comes across. No ego or arrogance, just a Perth kid who likes to have fun and play footy with his mates. You can see on-field how much he looks up to Maxy, hopefully they form a bond that makes Dogga the next in a long line of great rucks to represent the red and blue.

2021 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett
The second-year goal tallies for some of the best small forwards in recent years: Stephen Milne: 50 Kysaiah Pickett: 40 Tom Papley: 30 Liam Ryan (mature recruit): 30 Cyril Rioli: 21 Eddie Betts: 20 Toby Greene: 4 What a special talent we have. Can't wait to see what this man can produce over a decade-long career in the red+blue.

Welcome to Demonland: Jacob Van Rooyen
I hope you're right TBH. Weid's problems seem to be mostly between the ears, I reckon if he can string together some early-season form it will hold him in good stead for the rest of the year.

2021 Player Reviews #29 Jayden Hunt
https://youtu.be/xnZjI2c7hP0 Hunty streaming down the wing/middle is my favourite thing to watch in any Dees game. And can I say, our long-sleeve home jumper with navy shorts looks 🔥

Our Marathon Men
I also love that ANB has his biggest running game in the GF, and Langon's fourth best. The boys put in the hard yards on the big stage and came away with their rewards

2021 Player Reviews: #50 Ben Brown
Maybe they thought his knee was shot? Or maybe they knew they were going into full rebuild mode and wanted to give Larkey the reins as the primary KPF?

Ben Brown joins Dees’ AFLW coaching panel
I love what BB brings culturally. Definitely cut from a different cloth to most footballers but I'm sure he brings a lot of new, progressive perspectives to his teammates that you probably wouldn't otherwise get in a football club

POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
You know at the start of every season how Ch7/Fox do promo footage of each captain in a TV studio holding the cup, looking at the cup, ect? I'd always think "Why bother doing it with the Dees, it will never happen, waste of time"..... well, they better schedule Gawny to be first up next year before any other captains get their grubby mitts on OUR cup. It's the little things that make a premiership so great!!!

2021 Player Reviews: #32 Tom Sparrow
Around the club they're a bit of a package deal - the Fridge and the Freezer I think they call them. Yze loves them both, reckons they're some of the best at the club for training and prep

Learnings, Circa 2021.
Our defence is so much better than any other team's it's not funny. And we have the best midfield in the game, in the right age bracket too

2021 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett
What a year Kozzy had, 40 goals as a second-year small forward is unbelievable. He's the closest thing to Cyril since Cyril and is in for a fantastic career. So excited that he plays for the Dees, he will be a human highlight reel for years
-
Jake Bowey smart footy
The amount of times in the last few games of the year where Bowza would be pinned against the boundary or in heavy traffic and go to kick it, I'd think "OK, long dump kick to a contest" only for him to lace out a teammate 30m away with a kick that barely goes above head height..... crazy stuff. The prospect of him and Salem distributing off half back for years to come is pretty enticing 🤤

2021 Player Reviews: #32 Tom Sparrow
Sparrow has a lot of great attributes, and people inside the club (especially Yze) rave about how he trains and prepares. With a big preseason and the confidence he would take from 2021, I reckon he could crack the regular midfield rotation. Keep in mind a that plenty of the games he put up good numbers were off ~60% game time - pretty impressive for a youngster. He's a like a proto-Viney but with a booming right shoe. Here's to more 🤘🤪🤘 celebrations from Sparrow!

Will a team improve enough to challenge us next year?
If we continue our form from finals then we should be able to beat anyone, however there's no guarantee form and momentum carries into the next year. For what it's worth I don't see any team being definitively better than us

Congratulations Max
When it rains, it pours! What a year for Maxy. Congrats to him and Jess 🎉

POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
Interestingly Pert never says that nothing happened, just that what was reported was overblown. So maybe there was some degree of argy bargy going on. If the Dogs were upset the Dees sang a song then that is great, shows how petty and fragile they are

It is time BT is pensioned off
Some other ones (going off memory so might not be exact): "Melbourne fans in that pocket must be feeling unbelievably" "Bullen from 47" He also called the centre square the goalsquare, and was easily the most disruptive of the commentary team. Would yell over the top of others giving insights to the game to say something devoid of substance like "GEE, WHAT A GAME". Also there were multiple times that Daisy would give some genuinely good insight and BT would just reply "WOW". Almost condescending. Too often he tries to force his personality and opinions in, just call the game mate. And he absolutely does hate the Dees - a nightmare commentary match-up would be BT commentating the Dees vs 22 Tom Hawkins, would be absolutely insufferable

2021 Player Reviews #30 Alex Neal-Bullen
A Bombers mate of mine has for years gotten stuck into me about Nibbler, saying he's a plodder, shouldn't be on an AFL list ect. Yes, he's not particularly talented and isn't a game-breaker but he's one of those glue guys you love to have at the club. Trains the house down, works harder than anyone else out on the ground and demands excellence of his teammates. Some say it is your bottom six that separates pretenders from contenders, Nibbler's output this year played a big role in our rise up the ladder. Nom nom nom. Also I have this theory that he turns into a gun in wet-weather games, I might pay closer attention next year to see if there's any substance to it

2021 Player Reviews: #26 Sam Weideman
Would love to see Weid break his way into the team and start spearheading our forward line. I think he has it in him, just needs to kick a few once breaking into the team to help build confidence. The time is right for him, here's to a big preseason and productive 2022
