  1. Lol. Eddie says that was the rehearsed line they fed them. Different experiences indeed. One person has shown leadership on this.
  2. So suggestible… And of course ‘banana’ is there
  3. Yeah, I think it’s a single malt…
  4. Mate, no one cares.
  5. Now that is a team Freed From Desire… And people laughing and ridiculing Taylor Walker over this are right to do so; what a weak leader he was at the time. He was one of those that didn’t listen to Eddie. When someone reveals themselves over and over again as the POS they are - you’re entitled to believe them.
  6. The Upside Down! I know it well. If you see 13 year olds that look like 22 year olds - don’t even think about it, just kill ‘em! They trouble.
  7. Changes may be minimal. Brown possibly the only in. I am really interested with how we take that brutal mindset we showed last week to a team that will take us on and cut through us a few times. They play the only way to beat us at our best but the flip side is that if you can’t execute well enough, often enough we will get so many entries into our forward line. I just don’t think it will stand up for long enough to beat us.
  8. It is not
  9. I wouldn’t disagree and I know Sam quite well. What disappoints me is that I know there are people that would read all that and be like ‘so what, mate. Suck it up, it’s not like they hit you.’ They were disrespectful to his culture, betrayed his confidences in front of his colleagues, berated him, and his club thanked him for leading and standing up for his brethren by demoting him and pushing him out the club. What a culture. And not to say how great are we but we were close to going down this path and instead went down the path of embracing uniqueness, respect, and having trust in your teammates to let them be if they do the work. I’ll take our PC woke culture any day of the week and twice on the last Saturday in September…
  10. Sometimes journos are dead on; and Sam and Caro got a lot of personal crap for their reporting on this. Maybe don’t run toxic and stupid camps that can be politely referred to as ‘weird’…
  11. Bump. Ok, so I know this isn’t a finals game, is on TV, and involves movement of your decaying and decrepit bodies BUT… It would be great if you got out there to the G this Friday…
  12. We did it 2004 and yeah, didn’t … go… well…
  13. No, the next captain is CP5. Gawn is fine on his own atm. He is a great leader though and an excellent, intense foil for Gawn’s style.
  14. Ah yes. I would have put those gifs in the same post but that is fine.
  15. Is there an echo in here?
  16. We met with Cerra and apparently did the best PowerPoint presentation since Colin Powell to the UN in 2003. You plan for scenarios and get ready to pull triggers.
  17. When we have the pressure on the footy like last Friday - our forward line looks very potent. So will this thread die? I hope it does…
  18. Yeah, that was interesting although I wouldn’t think any player would admit to loading as it is admitting to ‘excuses’ in effect. So not surprised he downplayed the inference. Interestingly, he said Goodwin was impressed with training for 10 weeks and that the impact his been late from training to game day. Does that mean he wasn’t impressed previous to that? Those banked wins in the start of the year are so curious to me now; were we playing well or just better on latent talent? Did PA and GWS really need to holistically change how they play to lessen the damage? Might have been intimidation through reputation.
  19. What do you think?
  20. I agree. This game is ruthless. We got him in case of emergency and we can still break that glass and be thankful for him, who knows?
  21. Brayshaw in the middle now puts Dunstan further down the depth chart. Will be tough for him.
  22. The correct thing to say is we are most likely not dropping ANB for an inconsistent season. That’s what it has been. His leadership and his role helping Petracca make him very difficult to replace but he has been down on his 2021 output.
  23. I agree with the premise, makes the take of @DeeSpencerthat McStay is equal to Angus Brayshaw even more laughable. McStay lucky to stay in this Lions team.
  24. Toby Greene is, so that’s a no.
  25. That’s not necessarily the case, he is a capable back up ruck and we may have an opening in 2023.
