  1. I don't talk much about the kids because I have little idea outside of the top 3 or 4 but isn't Darling too young and headed for the GC17 (and the courts, apparently getting [censored] and groping girls on a camp is illegal).
  2. Well, then it's an effing miracle Aaron Davey stayed around, and before him Whelan... Some people are not up to professional football, I get that. Angwin and Ablett couldn't handle it. Bloody white fellas, always running off, wearing their thongs and their singlets with beer companies on the front... Sorry for the racism at the end. If it helps any, I'm white, so I'm allowed to be racist.
  3. I thought he would go but his last 6 weeks proved to me that he could still hold a spot in the 22 and give the younger blokes some real leadership. I love Bruce and Green but Junior is head and shoulders above them in that dept. Another thing that I completely forgot at the time he got his extension is that only he and Bruce would qualify for the VL. So with Green not qualifying until 2011, Junior staying on would only be taking the spot of a kid on the RL. Makes the decision that much smarter if you ask me.
  4. But I will concede the KPIs of ladder position, wins, and percentage in 2011. I don't think that 2010 is the "D-year" that someone has already posted. Our toddlers are not developed and have not been exposed to AFL. We need to expose them in 2010 but it will not get us closer to wins. That's my scenario?! I don't think you give me enough credit. Schwab and the board will make this difficult decision, with or without pressure from outside the club. Personally, I believe that pressure from fans will take their toll if we start poorly, and don't be naive enough to think - firstly, that Schwab and Co. won't yield to those baying for blood, and secondly, that Bailey won't change his approach if he feels his position is threatened. Why, as a fan of the MFC, do I have to take it on 'good faith' that the coach will continue the development process that he has put in place?
  5. Hey, I go to Freak for guidance...
  6. Why is it that, because someone is black and leaves the club, that all others who are black will leave the club? Is it me, or does that not sound racist? I'm with Cards on this. Missing the indigenous angle? We have been drowning in that angle all year. LJ will leave if not wrapped in cotton wool. Aussie will go because his injuries are frustrating him, we must keep all the Indigenous boys or they will all go... Please...
  7. We have a few on here who need to say a little somethin-somethin in AD's direction, but over on Ology - Stakka needs to kiss him on the dick.
  8. Durka durr!
  9. I am not damning him. I don't know if he can coach. Giving him 2 years from now provides a greater window to see if he is the one for our flag tilt. How much better? Enough to give him another 36 months? You cannot go in with a 12 month extension at any stage next year. It would be a startling lack of faith. I reiterate, 24 or 36 months will be given if he is re-signed during 2010. And this is my point - give him his 4th year now, so that if he isn't the right coach for us he doesn't waste 5 or possibly 6 years of our time. Which would be a possibility if we re-signed him in 2010 on half a year of misleading evidence. Bruce, Green, McDonald getting 30 touches each and Brad Miller kicking 3 goals in tight wins against NM, Rich, Freo, WCE, and PA early next season do not excite me, but it would earn a 3-year contract extension for Bailey. However, it would prove that he was distracted from his stated goal of developing this team for a flag tilt. He isn't above human fault, he will move toward self-preservation if the circumstances push him there.
  10. Can you bring this up when we are decent? I can't go to my uncles with this right now. Timing is everything 45HG16.
  11. I think people forget that in 2005 he came 4th in the Bluey in his first year at the club. Fantastic to see him back in the R&B, should be better now that there is some more speed around him. We all know what I am refering to... As an aside, his handballing improved out of sight this year. Very important considering our gameplan.
  12. Errrr, Arrrgh. Brains...
  13. Had a great year. But less effective than other players because he was surrounded by a lot of rubbish. Also, if I was unbiased, I could name 50 players that had better seasons than our Aaron Davey. But, I am biased... It's an effing disgrace...ribble, rabble...they took our jobs! Some of you got that, I know you did. You had a chuckle...
  14. It won't please those that are zombie-like in their desire for a KPF at 11 but if he the best available, and he very much looks the goods, take him.
  15. You're right. If we can turn Pick 50 into something in the 30s, we would have been kissed on the dick. Tee hee.
  16. Had a good day, J. That ryhmed. I didn't mean for that to ryhme... Sorry.
  17. That's a bit harsh Jacey. But I will say this - you can go on, DD. Pithiness is a virtue.
  18. I'm waiting for Freak to weigh in...
  19. A defender? Get a stamp, an envelope, and mail the suggestion to 2006... Massive burn.
  20. I was talking to Nasher. Eavesdropper... Some people...
  21. This would be close to being my sig for a while... I believe the proper term for the internets is 'ROFL'.
  22. Well, maybe you'd get the Ferrari if you included Daniel Bell... At the very least, it would get your power steering fixed.
  23. A challenge hhhhm? How about... (wait while I Google) Matthew Laidlaw? Uh-huh. Gotcha.
  24. If they thinhk he can fill this need to have an extra lump in the FP then fine. It would also mean we could take another small quick at 11. Just one thing - never heard of Chris Dawes... Where do all these no-name Collingwood players come from? We'll see next week. But I still think we need to trade out some players more than trade in...
