  1. He plays a role. He plays it well when he isn’t butchering the footy, but he isn’t one of our best players. And that is my point - you are far more likely to find an ANB than an Oliver.
  2. You can’t replace your best players. Depth only works on the periphery - to replace ANB and Rivers or specific roles like FP or defensive wing. So the absences of Fritsch, Viney, May, and Salem will be answered only, and respectively, by the existing forwards, mids, Lever and Petty, and the back flankers to do a little bit more. I think we will win unless someone gets a hold of us. Our team looks energised and synergised and that can win you a few games on its own early in the season.
  3. Check. It. Out. Do yourselves a favour! Who is going to check it out? Or who has excuses? Note: I have an excuse. But how good is yours?
  4. He was playing on a kid. He showed little respect and played 20m ahead of him. I wouldn’t infer much from it at all. The only learning for Petty would be you might want play properly when you’re playing, otherwise you’re just properly playing.
  5. Oh no doubt, and if it wasn’t for the 5th (?) most important footy discussion show making it a ‘chink in the armour’ I would have paid it no heed. Junk time in a junk game.
  6. Interesting watching Footy Classified and Lloyd look at Petty ‘out of the square’ as a bad match up for him based on one game where he paid a kid zero respect (tigers practice match). I think that is clutching straws or pearls or whatever.
  7. Oh, it is pathetic, but it’s there. It’s beyond dislike, it’s prevalent, usually anonymous. Melksham only getting a game because of his friendship with the coach was the entry level into the ‘hate’ for him over his journey here. Then he must have ‘info/pictures on the coach’ as a common ‘joke’ on here would be the gateway to much worse.
  8. You don’t post in the match day threads do you?
  9. A third of us say yeah, a third say nah, and the other third are in no state to give an opinion on anything…
  10. Yeah, this pub…
  11. We don’t have to go in with 4 tall backs; we have generational players back there and they will make 3 feel like 4. Also Darcy will go back against us possibly. Don’t see them going so too heavy against us. We would win all the footy on the ground.
  12. Rehab group. When you say a person at the footy club is in ‘rehab’ the mind wanders…
  13. Agree with everything except for Grundy on the bench. I still say he will play more ruck than Gawn and Gawn will be more forward than behind the footy.
  14. Yes. Think of Ticketek portal (which is what we are using) as a trip to the internet and the associated services in 2003.
  15. And if I can attain for you these animals?
  16. No Alexander? Great…
  17. Too bad you CANNOT ATTEND! WE HAVE BEEN GOOD ONLY BECAUSE YOU DON’T COME TO THE GAMES!! But I am really happy for you otherwise
  18. To some extent touché, but the difference is that Gawn is more a fwd than ruck now and that may overbalance us.

I always thought the best way to bring about change was change…

So glad that this loser gets another gig and also love how his reputation is laundered starting on intl womens day. Just for the irony. So glad for us all.
  21. Yes, the only team that fills me with dread whenever we play them.
  22. Plug away, SL.
  23. A noble ambition, young padawan. Thats less creepy if you’re a Star Wars fan. I said less creepy, not not creepy.
