  1. I wasn't clear before. If Trengove is to be moved off the Primary List for us to use ND53 or PSD2, he is going to have to be delisted and placed on the Rookie List through the Rookie Draft. I am assuming Tapscott is delisted to allow ND40.
  2. That isn't what I am saying at all - I am saying that your utter rejection of players a 'phantom' picked 2 WHOLE PLACES LOWER is utterly ridiculous and maddening. The MFC gets to choose any player bar whoever is taken at Pick 1 and we are not confined to the 2 or 3 players these Phantoms say we should select.
  3. Already did it. Ticket master site a bit cumbersome but light years ahead of what it used to be. $60 - and I won't have to buy the AFL one again, and it goes to the Dees. All good.
  4. Well, I got more improvement than I envisioned. Our list was so compromised that even Cross, Vince, and Tyson were not enough in the middle. To concede 7 less goals a game is a huge achievement in one season. Is it a Quantum Leap? Ziggy say 'Yes.'
  5. It's just three rounds of football for all clubs - no finals.
  6. There is no mechanism for this Jetta workaround. It won't happen. He will have to be delisted and picked in the Rookie Draft.
  7. Yeah, I will update that at some point. Lower your eyes people, still 2014.
  8. It's not a big deal, because WGAF, but in no way was h_h joking. From what I have seen, he lacks the inclination and the capability.
  9. Leaving aside the 'junior footy experts' who are entirely fallible and the 18 months quip (6 of which are off season) the reason you have for not picking a bloke like Laverde is a singularity of stupidity, a blackhole of rational thought; every year there is someone taken in the picks you claim not good enough for the top 3 that are better than the top 3!Wines, Aish, Selwood. The fact that you are alluding to the MFC not 'being allowed' to take a player because of 'phantom ranks' is, unfortunately, backing up one of my personal dislikes about those that talk about this teenage lottery draft that we have; being railroaded into a few choices while having the most to choose from. It stinks.
  10. The only scenario that would be valuable to delisting Evans would be if we could convince Newton into the PSD or someone of his ilk. There would have to be a scenario of lightning striking twice with the previous scenario for McKenzie to be delisted and rookied. There is no good scenario of Trengove being delisted and rookied. Only an unlikely premature retirement would be the most likely of unlikely scenarios. There is no sane scenario of Jetta to be re-rookied. I have said scenario a great deal... Scenario.
  11. Picks are not as meaningful as they could be if the draft age was 20. Some 18 year olds are suited to play footy - great, well done to them - they will be selected very high when they are 20. At the moment, TAC footy is getting further and further away from AFL footy that picking the best teens is as treacherous as it ever has been. They should be made to play 2 years at their local SANFL, WAFL, VFL, etc. club and enter the AFL after two seasons of footy. No other mechanism is as effective as clubs having a better idea of who they are recruiting. This will provide some help to local comps - give kids a better introduction to AFL and allow them to better juggle uni and footy in the first couple years. They will lose some players to other codes - boo hoo - the AFL isn't League; there isn't a great exodus history to be scared of - it's fear mongering.
  12. You are a 'hater'... And I trust Paul Roos' judgement more than yours. Sue me.
  13. I am assuming him starting in Feb is partly due to the fact that the guy would need a break to deal with the fact that he was fired and now works somewhere else. That, and he gotta spend his firing monies!!
  14. From zero to h_h to lol in 15 minutes! That is a new record for Demonland. Well done to Scythe, but also to h_h for his general obliviousness and impatience. Oh, and welcome to McCartney - may he wear sunscreen on his nose now and into the future.
  15. I think the industry is getting better at finding the best 50 players in every junior year, but of those 50 blokes - clubs still find it tough to differentiate the top players when they are 22 and until we raise the age of eligibility - it won't change. I don't know if other years have been like this at the top - we have Petracca and Brayshaw that look solid from all accounts, then we have a type-1 diabetic CHF who has some massive raps but a few question marks, we have a HFF that might make a great mid, and a good CHB who might make a great mid but he has been out for a year with a ACL. And these are the players we are 'allowed' to pick from because The Consensus has deemed them better than the rest of the 50 blokes that might be better than them when they are 22...
  16. No offence, but WTF kind of sentiment is that?
  17. I would be a firm, yet fair, hand on the till and hide on the throne. I will build a throne...
  18. Honestly, every pick is a punt when they are teenagers...
  19. Well, yes, I am joking, but you have found way too much mirth in the idea...
  20. One of the first things I would get going if I was in charge. #giverpfcthekeys
  21. If you make love to only one post this year - this would be it... Calling Clint Bizkit - we have another one for raising the draft age! Huzzah!
