We kicked ~1.8 from turn over yesterday. System is all over the place, our team was built for repeat stoppage and territory and we need to play to that. We got lucky that Geelong's gameplan allowed ours to work, no other team is going to give us that space. Kick mark game style is rubbish and I think we rate in the 6-12 range like Freo. Our % keeps us in the 8 but there is 5 other teams on the same amount of wins, Saints will be hungry to knock us out of the 8.

He might replace a lower tier mid like Woey, Laurie or such but i don't think he owns his HB flank like he used to.

What we need from Salo is the mature head, physicality and flexibility. He is not a best 22 lock but there's still a place for him in the side. Wouldn't be opposed to him needing to build form in the 2s before returning.

Schache has an an Achilles injury I thought? Fullarton also came off with a knee complaint in the casey game too. Maybe Jefferson and Verrell get a call up. JVR has not been in hot form but he carries a big role as 2nd ruck. Max will need support.

We took a risk to rookie him as I don't think he was in draft contention. Interesting comment. He comes from a very different background compared to the top kids who have been crafted to be a professional like Windsor. Hopefully he can turn it around because the talent is there.

Melk or McAdam would be so so handy rn. We are in dire need for an effective 3rd tall and Disco is not crafty enough to make this work. Woey should be in the 22 for Bowey or Billings. Should real running power and effective kicking. Chin's knee certainly was NQR but i suspect he will be fine after a 10 day break.

Statistics in the AFL are almost always used to 'explain' and never 'predict'. We see a result and find stats that suit our observation. But rarely are any places like champion data creating valid predictions, which would be a true estimation of the usefulness of the selected statistics.

Billings > Hunter at this stage. We have a lot of elite runners in our team but not many who link up as well as JB. I think the FD understand this and will persevere with him in the side. I see a firing Spargo as his only competition for the link man spot atm.

Petty simply playing out his contract is a great result for us. I hope he is happy with us and will decide to re-sign when the time comes.
