  1. McVee doesn't get the accolades he deserves for one so young and calm and balanced. One of our best.
  2. His brother used to deliver us firewood in rural TAS - mad dees fans the whole family.
  3. He used to show the video of him missing after training to give the boys a laugh. Absolutely lovely man(n)
  4. 3 highlights of my playing career - cruelly curtailed by injury. - U16 coach was Johnny Townsend - he told the 1st XVIII coach I was the best player he'd coached at that level. We used to man up in match sims. God he was strong. - 1st XVIII being awarded BOG on interstate trip to SA by Gary Hardeman. - 2 years of being coached by Hassa in Diamond Valley League. He coaxed me out of retirement after I'd broken my leg the year before - said his previous team had been planning all week to nullify me before they knew about leg. I could barely run by that stage however it was the start of the interchange era so Hassa used me carefully. I ran in to him years later on Blairgowrie beach and he still remembered me - or so he said.
  5. Can we get priority (if he's any good) by listing him as Academy player?
  6. I didn't even know who McAdam was until we traded for him. Not at all impressed by what I've seen so far - a fail by the recruiters there. I hope I'm wrong.
  7. My old man used to drive us past him so we we could yell Go Demons. Our Grandma lived nearby.
  8. Time to schedule dinner with the in-laws lol
  9. In between gigs directing traffic as a cop at Camberwell Junction before traffic lights.
  10. Just relocate all Norf's talent to the Tassie side and fold them up. Keeps it at 18 and reduces number of Melbourne clubs.
  11. When MFC won the Mclelland Trophy what percentage went to the players? I thought it was 100% - Dorks only offering players 50%. Miserly.
  12. Fortunately being Tasmanian I was lucky enough to get to the game - not sure I'll see another live.
  13. At least it won't be Steven Smith like in the mid 80's at Princes Park - most cowardly act I've ever seen at that level. Smith was leading all awards at the time and Matthews just came up from behind and punched him. Smith was never the same as a player after that.
  14. I was fortunate enough to travel from Tassie to WA - they had to put on extra flights. Got in early - the week before as I was confident they would make the big one. Then the prices skyrocketed.
  15. A trip to Caulfield would be much more attractive to potential recruits than the long haul to Casey. My niece was involved in negotiations re new CBA deal as an AFLW captain - Cats have a distinct advantage due to limited travel. In their last flag year they trained less hours per week than other teams. Largely due to not having to sit in cars for extended times to get to and from training.
  16. eFlix another potential bidder with a huge audience across the subcontinent and eastern countries.
  17. Moore dropped to his knees causing the collision and potentially injuring Kozzy. Must appeal. I'm still disappointed nobody skewered Maynard headfirst into the fence when he went at Kozzy - a legitimate football action
  18. When we find suitable replacements for Max and May at the earliest.
  19. Moore should have been penalised for a sliding tackle
  20. Clear and simple - Moore dropped to his knees thereby making contact unavoidable.
  21. Wonderful kick of a behind was my main memory. There were many moments that were highlights though - Windy Hill especially.
