  1. Sicily clearly rushed the ball thru the goals for a behind before he executed his throw, behind the goal post, and played on outside the 10m square. I'm no longer sure of the rules.
  2. 4 frees. The trip, the behind under no pressure, the throw and I'm not 100% sure about kicking out from the behind the line without going through 10M square (Icould be wrong there)
  3. It was a rushed behind. That weird throwing the ball up to himself, behind the goal line, was also questionable. Robbed us of momentum
  4. Rules have changed a lot in recent years - particularly regarding kicking out from a behind. When Kozzy was tripped and didn't get a free (hello MRP) Sicily rushed the ball through for a behind - under no pressure. Should've been a free for that as well. Sicily then ran back into play through the behind area. I thought a kick out or handball had to go back into the 10m square before the ball could be brought back into play. Can someone please clarify the latest rules around this?
  5. Sharp looked good when he came on last week. Perservere for a while to see him reproduce that consistently

Freo player should be reported for front on contact with the Maggots player Schulz that concussed him. Nothing would surprise me.
  7. His effort in the 2021 Premiership to shepherd Spaz's long bomb through for a goal continued our momentum and was invaluable. I was lucky to be there and see it live from a perfect angle - unforgettable. Also, let's not forget his 5 goals vs WCE with the final one having several players trying to stop him. It was a crucial win. Does any job asked of him and does it well. Few signs of him slowing him up just yet. Seems fastidious in his preparation. Pity Oscar didn't match his achievements!
  8. Somewhat ironic that Matthews is calling for an order off rule. He would hardly ever have finished a game.
  9. 1958 - 1990 were lean years.

Mansell nearly pushed him into taking the mark - Lynch stopped that. Free against Lynch.
  11. I have no respect for Buckley - plus he's cursed.
  12. Langford showed promise today.
  13. Doing an Essendon?
  14. Big Sparky fan. Sounds as though he's been putting in the miles running. Match fitness another matter - stay sound son.
  15. Think Simon Black during Lions reign.

Is this a new record? First game reported and suspended? I liked his effort - that was a bit rough though.
  17. Our match sim practice vs NMFC where we defended a lead for 3 minutes didn't seem to help.

Send all their other home games to Docklands instead of the G - that would force their hand.
  19. I don't think he was out there yesterday - May would've loved those conditions.

  21. There was one instance in the last where our Sub failed to chase hard, even though unlikely to catch opponent, not impressed when one has such fresh legs. Lindsay looks like another gem - him and Windsor to take a wing each for the next decade.
  22. McVee doesn't get the accolades he deserves for one so young and calm and balanced. One of our best.

His brother used to deliver us firewood in rural TAS - mad dees fans the whole family.
  24. He used to show the video of him missing after training to give the boys a laugh. Absolutely lovely man(n)
  25. 3 highlights of my playing career - cruelly curtailed by injury. - U16 coach was Johnny Townsend - he told the 1st XVIII coach I was the best player he'd coached at that level. We used to man up in match sims. God he was strong. - 1st XVIII being awarded BOG on interstate trip to SA by Gary Hardeman. - 2 years of being coached by Hassa in Diamond Valley League. He coaxed me out of retirement after I'd broken my leg the year before - said his previous team had been planning all week to nullify me before they knew about leg. I could barely run by that stage however it was the start of the interchange era so Hassa used me carefully. I ran in to him years later on Blairgowrie beach and he still remembered me - or so he said.
