Hnmm I think when talking A 1 Grade superstars that actually produced for MFC the cupboard over a collective past is still very poor. The names you have provided are not and were not in my view cast iron A1 Grade superstars. For example Peter Moore won brownlow with us but I wouldn't have ever called him a superstar. Templeton was injury prone and did nothing, Carman was a major disappiontment, Crosswell servicaable only Mark Jackson and Byron as much as they produced were never ever more than very good players Jeff White had a "stellar" year but did he ever win games of his own efforts consistently?? Nup the real superstars are ones we have never ever been able to lure here EG Judd, Ablett, Buddy, Dangerfield ETC and I don't see that changing in the imediate future! The talk of Prestia Shiel et all are tha stuff of dreams and huge let downs. No real Superstar has ever experessed a "I want Melbourne Football Club to be my next home" ever! Sad but true!

I agree to a point BUT the fact still remains when the "Gun" players start negotiating we, for one reason or another always eternally seem to miss out. Reality is that we have not landed One "Gun" A+ Graded player EVER!! EVER!

Yes, I rate Wagner and as he improves he will be an upgrade on Mc Donald and Yes packaging him of with O Mac to Swans and maybe others involved in wheeling and dealing would not concern me one little bit! Get Browne from Collingwood, Get Hurley and or Hibberd, keep developing Frost and you then have some options. Not to mention Melksham on a wing or running of half back! One thing that really worries me about T Mac is the possibility of one of his brian fades in a final for example that ends up costs us a game! Plenty will disagree but that is just MY opinion!

Now I don't mind a bit of French Food and have penchant for duck cooked in any way! But I was once tempted to try the "Snails" as an entre and like the time I overindulged in Quzo ( a separate time) was violently ill for days after. I like Wagner a lot and have seen the following attributes in this player 1 Can put body on body 2 Has better judgment whether to punch or mark 3 Seems to have more time to dispose of the ball 4 Has less "Anxious" moments than the other two 5 Is developing into an 'Elite" reader of the ball Yes he does have the occasional "Clanger" but for the reasons above plus my gut feel I reckong he will become an excellent player. IMV He is much better than the other two, Get Browne from Collingwood, Continue the development of Frost as a defender and I would be very pleased about this!

Wagner is Twice the player T mac is and Three times the player O mac is! Like him a lot!!

Premiership player, solid, some pace, footy smarts, makes corect decisions and puts body on body! Something T mac does not do! Sold for mine!

Dear Uncle Bitters, The closest I ever got to "Knock Shop" was listening to The Alex Harvey band belting out "Next".. a rather dubious song about waiting in line for some , er fullfilment! Sounds like Uncle Bitter, that The Old Sheila spoke in may tongues!?? Hopefully, you didn't have to resort to a cold can of "Tom Piper" Pickeled Tongues in Aspic?? Also, I believe the possibility exists that the Old Sheila's Husband may of expired of cardiac arrest, possibly due to over exersion of the primary directive! I beleive we need to go out and fing at least 2 KPB and at least 1 other running in and also out rider as well. Jake Spencer and M Jones will .. not be part of our club next year IMV!
