Any doctor who pulled a player off with 5mins to go in a GF would probably not have a job the next season. I think they should have independent doctors to conduct the concussion tests. I wonder who would assess the umpires and do concussion tests on them if they got hurt? Likely AFL doesn’t have doctors just for them but you’d think they should for duty of care.

Would be fascinating to track the injuries of our players and games missed over multiple season. Salem would have to have to have had a horror run during his career. Really deflating to lose him.

Jeffo has me some slight Lucas Cook vibes. May never see him play seniors if his form is so inconsistent.

Can’t judge this side from 2021. 2021 was a long time ago. We just aren’t as good as we thought we were.

Some Observations: - Thought Bowey had one of his better games this season. One of the biggest howlers of the umpires was penalising him for going head first into a contest and beating Walters. - Windsor’s soccer goal from 30m out in the 2nd Qtr. This kid has more footy IQ in his first season than some players have their whole career. - Alex Pearce punching Kolt in the kidney that went unnoticed by the umpires. When Kolt responded he gives away a 50m penalty. - Why didn’t we put a tag on Hayden Young? He was killing us coming off the half back line into the centre square and helping Freo get clearance time and time again.

Give the kid an injury free pre-season and let’s see how far he goes in 2025. I’m really glad we’ve secured his services for the next 3 years. His best footy is incredible and I hope he gets back to his late 2023 form next year.
