Wow talk about MFCSS to the max. We’ve all wanted to see our boys go deep in September, and when the moment arrives some just completely drop their bundle.

These are the moments to enjoy, not be anxious about. I’m pumped and will be for the next 7 days. We are up our eyeballs in it this year.

    Comrades............Dees.............BELIEVE

    Well said!

    embrace it......like our players will.

    it’s a new era

    Yes they have.

Which is no knock on Petty, he's no Steve may.

His go is to out read and use his body to out manoeuvre.

And of course use his pace to zone off ans take intercept marks.

We don't want him in a wrestle with McStay.

May on McStay is the go, and has the benefit of rhyming.

I could actually see Smith take Daniher.

One on one Daniher has his measure but he is not a  stay at home forward and takes most of his marks up around half forward.

So Smith would likely not get isolated against him very often and has the leap to negate his height.

Daniher gets up the ground, which suits Smith because he can easily go with him.

And daniher is over rated and not fit enough. Smith could expose that lack of fitness by running off him at every opportunity and pressing up high to help trap the ball inside our 50.

That would leave Petty with their third tall and Lever to float as the intercept player.

Smith wont play on Daniher........the end.

Petty on McStay is the matchup that worries me the most. one-on-one McStay will outmuscle Petty so if we dont pressure the source this avenue to goal will be problematic.

McStay is one of those players who in the past has played well against MFC. Yes we are different side, but im yet to exercise those demons.

    Are you sure?

don’t think anyone has really out-muscled Petty this year.

    Who here would do this

Jackson to Freo for Cerra and Pick 8

Pick 8 and 34 (plus change) to Richmond for picks 11 + 16

Pick 16 to Collingwood for Maynard

    Gunston as free agent

In: Cerra, Maynard, Gunston, Pick 11 (Mac Andrew)

    Out: L. Jackson, P34

    100% not.

jacko will be one of Melb’s all time greats.

could be the best player in the league in a few years.

I reckon I’ve cried more in the last 36 hours than I have in my lifetime. I have watched that final two minutes countless times and I’ve cried every single time.
edit: just realised you were referring to the Tracc interview. Doesn’t matter though coz I cry every time I watch that too.

They both still getting me every time as well :-Trac interview, and the last 2 mins.

Sorry binny, couldn't disagree more with this. He may run off his opponent at times, but Smith is being used specifically as a match up for Rohan IMO.

Rivers, Salem, Bowey along with Langdon will provide the run and carry most of the time. This is a coach who spent big money and big trade currency to fix our back half turnovers (bye bye Frosty), so I have high doubts he would then turn to Joel Smith the week before finals to provide our run and carry out of the back line.

    Agree!

not smart enough decision marker or skilled enough to be running half-back flank.

trialling him on Rohan, with the knowledge that we have Hibbo for finals if it fails.

I am enjoying him now, he has had a great year. I urge Demon fans to do the same as sometimes big men like Jackson can become slower over the years and can plateau at an early age. Don't get me wrong he still has upside for a year or two but beyond that injuries and lack of motivation can creep in.

He has a completely different build to most young men at 19. Take Max for example. Max was skinny and hadn't developed into his body. He was prone to injuries and did both knees. It's only after 5 or 6 years that he learnt about what works for his body and how to get the most out of himself and got very fit and arrived at about 26 - 28 as a fantastic player that he is today.

Jackson has an Adonis body at a young age. Look at the size of his bum and thighs. They are huge and allow him to compete with men much older, slightly stronger and heavier. His jump is really good and his big thighs allow him to push off and out of contests. Hopefully he takes a long time to age and can keep his "bouncability". But it is no guarantee.

Big men that plateau at an early age.  Hmmm did not realise that was a thing for AFL - actually can’t think of any examples of this.

more likely outcome will be continual improvement with peak years between 25-30y.o.

Bulldogs lost two winnable games:  Essendon and Hawks so it opened the door for Port to go top 2.

But Port aren't there yet.  If we beat the Crows, their top 2 chance is all but gone.

If dogs play like the last 2 weeks, next week, then Port will beat them easily.

but surely dogs will wake up from their slump next week?

Wouldn’t mind Polec on a wing. Far better than his current output. This guy can really play. He’s be ideal as a winger if we can land him cheap, and North can foot some of his salary.

Apparently would struggle to pass the “character test”......not a great team-mate from all reports

I'd be all over GWS' Tom Green. He will explode soon and his inclusion would enable us to be less reliant on Clarry and give us more midfield depth.

Agree, will be a great player.

but see him as a “poor man’s Clarry”.....In my view we be better of focusing on complimentary outside mid class/skill, rather than more of the same.

The poster causing the most grief here starting yesterday is now on my ignore list. I suggest others do the same.

Please don't reply to him. He wants a reaction. The more oxygen you give him, the longer this lasts.

This isn't even really about racism for him. It's about sadism and triggering people while maintaining plausible deniability and tenuously skirting the rules of Demonland. Do you really think you are going to get through to someone like that?

And also, how many people do you think he is actually converting to his nonsense?

    Thank you.🙏

    Spot on.

captain of the trolls he is.

if he is not using a burner account, maybe Demonland can pass his details onto the club and prevent him from attending finals. Would be true to their message of taking a stand.

So you got nothing racist... typical. Another so ready to call someone a racist and you ask them to show where and they give the typical " if you can't see it I'm not going to waist my time in showing you". 🙄

Your posts are there for everyone to see (including yourself).

If you can't see any issues, I fear I am not equipped to rehabilitate you.

    That is all.

    Take Care.

Where is the racism in my comment?

We all support MFC, that's what brings us together but as you start to delve into the character of each supporter you are going to find differences. Differences you will not agree with.

What was said about Kossi by this person is wrong but you get stuck in a vicious circle with internet trolls. They want recognition for their work. You should ignore them, don't give them recognition, but you have to talk about it because "call out racism".

I think a few of you are missing the point I am making here.

Humans are competitive, they bring down anyone they fear or have a jealousy towards. They do their best to bring them down.

In 2021, South Africa is not the Utopia you are looking for.

The greater problem than the faceless social media racist trolls, is the people that don’t understand how and why they are being racist.

the people that don’t take the time to educate themselves and empathise with the unnecessary pain and trauma of racism.

    Not naming any names.

You can't do that without causing a mass genocide. Look how Germany went removing Jews. That is not the way to go.

You will never get 7 billion people to think the same until 7 billion people have a common intergalactic enemy.

Human nature is to be the best at all costs. You and I may not have the "at all cost" attitude but someone in the world's 7 billion population does and when we are all tra-la-la prancing in the daisy fields, this 1 in 7 billion will promise a group of people power and wealth and smear us into the earth.

Handling the internet may be criteria for player recruitment in the not so distant future.

    Please stop.

    Preying Kozzy doesn't read Demonland.

The video is a sad watch. Sad as Eddie is one of the most loved players ever.

I read your initial comments as never take a chance because you might be betrayed or let down.

Your friends, your wife, your family all might betray your trust.

Its a pretty bleak way to live.

CF, with respect you are talking as if they choose to take a pessimistic view.

This is not an attitude or choice on their behalf, it’s the effects of trauma from systemic racism.

It has absolutely ZERO relevance to the comparison of the chances of your wife betraying your trust.

    Please get educated.

Oh it doesn't, but CF brought it up as an example of why it was impossible for society to exist without people offended, including racism.

They have spent an awful amount of time trying to deflect from the main issue haven't they?

    Spot on.

And a view of “people will always get offended, and be sensitive” when it comes to racism is not at all acceptable.....and part of the pain/trauma, when you hear someone who has been racially vilified speak on the topic.
