Everything you just said is pretty much exactly the same “issues” identified after our R18 draw to Hawthorn last year (and R19 loss to the dogs) But I will also take a hint and not mention the forbidden subject.

There was signs of self correction. Was much more eager to pass it off, after the disaster in the first quarter.

The danger is he starts doubting himself and goes too far the other way. Reality is he is a good shot for goal, and we don’t have the luxury of squeezing out a consistent 2-3 goal per week player. It’s not an instant fix. Will take time for him to address it. I think he should be told to back himself most of the time, but just make sure he does pass off, when there is a certain goal on offer.

The more I think about, I reckon Melk gets another chance. Those inside 50 bullets are something we have been missing (granted he needs to deliver a few more of them) & if he can combine that with tackling pressure and a team role based game :- there is still some hope for him.

Tomlinson and Petty to play at opposite ends of ground (don’t care who goes where). If not working at half time, switch them. Tommo was great, too good to be dropped. Wouldn’t be surprised if Melk stays in. Played a team first game. Can’t recall him ever tackling like that.

How’s the double standards. Ok to insult players, but not ok to insult posters. I care more about the players that demonland posters, and would also prefer the insults stop. Again, we are no longer a battler team/club. Taking some people a long time to adjust.

I think just hold fire from looking for blame for a couple of weeks. The club plans to build from here, and be playing near its best approaching finals. They deserve everyone’s trust and faith to give this a chance to happen. We can assess what the forward line looks like, when we are playing closer to our best
