Plenty of midfieldd depth. Sparrow will be chomping at the bit to get midfield time in the AFL, he looks ready. Salem can also move in there if needed, as we will still have Hunt, Hibberd and Rivers down back for run and Bowey in reserve if needed. Can also give Kozzie more spot minutes through there. Also James Jordon can get an increase in minutes, he doesnt get much game time. And we have Harmes as backup too.

Got a feeling he will have a night out at the G against Sydney. They will be without Melican thanks to a hamstring injury which will help.

With Tomlinson out for the season it is now Pettys time to shine. Huge opportunity with a defined role and a block of games to sink or swim. Had a taste a few weeks ago against Hawthorn and was good in the 2nd half. The whole team was junk in the first half so I will cut him some slack for his shaky start in that game.

That is good to know. I believe he will deliver the goods. I guess Weid is out of luck again unless they decide to drop T Mac or Brown which is doubtful.

Well we played like absolute [censored]. But I think its mostly that we lost our new found gun defender Tomlinson for the season. Even that alone is enough to be depressed. Oh and Fritsch will probably cop a week and miss a huge Saturday night blockbuster.

Fritsch has 18 goals in 6 games... if he didn't miss that game with busted hand he would be right in the Coleman race. Still might be (unless he gets suspended for that elbow). Nice to see a Demon player finally kick a bag.

Just incredible that Melksham was named in the team. Chandler, Sparrow and Bedford must be shaking their heads.

Todays games Essendon and Carlton will battle out to see which mediocre team can stay in touch with the final 8, while the other ones season will be over at 2-5. The young upstart Dockers can move to 5-2 while sending the Eagles to a 3-4 record and wouldn't we love to see that. Both games are 50-50's.

Beating North is a big deal after what they've done to us the last 14 years. If we win today it will be the first time we have beaten them in consecutive games since we beat them twice in 2006. We fell apart as a club in 2007 and that's when North begun their run of wins over us. Well its time to turn the tables on those Kangaroo peasants and belt them every game for the next 20 years.

Was thinking what a shame it is that Brent Harvey isnt playing today. He deserves to be on the end of a 150 point drubbing by the Demons after all the easy kills he had against us in our decade of hell. There is some good news though - he will be stuck on the charter flight back with us as hes one of the North coaches now.
